Hey guys,

A bunch of us have been spending a lot of time recently collecting tio files for significant Melee tournaments to be used in the SSBPD. One key tournament from the past year that we have no record of is ROM 4, but it may be possible to reconstruct the results with your help! So, if you attended ROM 4, please tell me, to the best of your ability, what happened in your bracket. If you aren't sure of anything that's fine, but make sure you tell me what you aren't sure of.

Even if you can only recall one of your matches that is a big help! If you know you had a bye in round 1 that'll also be really useful to know. Please let me know if you have any questions.

EDIT: It turns out the info dump thread has a partial bracket image. This will make our job WAY easier. It'll still be helpful to get info from the rest of you guys though!

C'mon people lets jump in on this. Everybody was able to recreate Pound 5 bracket with some effort, so I'm sure we can do it for ROM 4. It was a 72 man bracket apparently so we're gonna need some help!

I forgot if I lost to anyone else if I remember I'll edit this.

If you need an order:

Win against tope
Lost to jman

Well if it's just the bracket then you couldn't have lost to anyone other than Jman and m2k lol. Also, are those in order of the bracket?

Yea those are all bracket matches and i believe alukard set up bracket for no byes.

The only pool match I remember is against phish-it and I won.

I won first seed if it matters

The results thread shows results for 72 players, so that gives the impression that it ended in a 72 man bracket. If that's the case, it's impossible to not have any bye's.

Also at this point we are not worried at all about the pools matches. Just the bracket.

I coulda sworn Alu decided to go with a 64 man bracket though...

No there were byes. I got a bye in losers and winners iirc.

I lost to Redd (falco g1, fox g2) in winners and Lefty (sheik) in losers.

I know you said you don't care but in case you ever do, my pool was me, Yedi (falco/doc), proskater (fox), DJ Nintendo (fox), a falco, and a samus. Sorry but I don't remember the last 2 players' tags.

You had a first round bye and also beat Nakamaru or Valo. Probably Nakamaru since Valo got 65th (last) in bracket. We found the starter bracket. I'll post it in the second post shortly.

Aside from us it was MattDotZeb, Nakamaru, Diesel and an Ice climber player I don't remember the name.


That bracket image is so tiny good luck deciphering it.

I remember beating Matt.zeb(not sure if bracket or pools though), Chillin, Reno, M2K twice, Jman. I lost to Mango twice.

I'm not sure how helpful this was but if I remember anything else I'll post up haha.

Very helpful. I'm actually almost done with the bracket believe it or not. A couple of matches that are holding me up are HBK vs Yedi from round 2 winners, T-Webb vs Light Syde from round 2 winners, and Palpi vs Vudujin from round 2 winners. I think with those three results I'll have the entire bracket.

I'll take your word for it but where did we find that SilentSwag beat Vudujin in the next round? Your thinking is confirmed, just wondering where you got the info from.

EDIT: DR Peepee, the way the bracket is now, it was impossible for you to have beaten Chillin in bracket. You sure that wasn't pools? Everything else you said is accurate.

Maybe it was rom3 I played him lol. Ah well yeah I could be wrong about that.

I just pm'd lightsyde(used to enter tourneys as Darksyde btw) about his set with twebb. I'll let you guys know what he says if you don't find out before then haha.

I'm 99.99% certain it's perfectly accurate, but if somebody sees something off lemme know.

Crimson, you had to be wrong about HBK beating Yedi. Otherwise it was impossible to match the bracket with the results thread, and some of the vids from the vid topic couldn't have happened.
