yeah, djc yoshi crouch cancels at weird times, I remember in particular I hit one with an Up-B from Luigi at around 150% and he flew to the very top of the screen but didn't quite die. I was very confused at the time.

Here's a question you've probably heard before, but nonetheless one I need an answer to: Does anyone know of an N64 to USB adapter that will work with both Mac and Windows? I have 60force at home, and I use library computers (windows) to play online, so I need one that will work both ways. If my terminology was incorrect at any point in that question, I sincerely apologize, but I think it's clear what I mean.

edit: Looking through stuff (google, this thread, etc.), I haven't recognized any such adapter; my hopes are low. Maybe I should just go PC? at any rate, does anyone know where I could get one just for mac, at the bare minimum? I could get 2, I suppose...

He didn't say anything about bumping into walls, etc, so DI can't have been that huge a factor, especially when a falcon punch was involved.

I tried it out and yeah, a crouch cancelled falcon punch at 100% results in Yoshi easily surviving (especially if the falcon punch is stale, and especially if you meant Yoshi was at 100% AFTER the falcon punch).

No, he's carzy.

If you're trying to get people to play against eachother in 1v1's or something like that, set up p2p smash on the computers and play that way. That's how I played against some people at my university... we both set up p2p and played against eachother. If you want people to do 2v2's or ffa's, set up the server version of kaillera, create a server in the lab, and get people to play in that server.

I don't know if these will work or not, but it's worth a shot :p

if you want to do local multiplayer, it might be possible to buy a multi controller adapter and just connect it into one computer and play from there, instead of having to connect with delay from different computers

Alright so me and a friend (Lord Bowser) are having a problem when trying to play online

We connect to Desiree's server and start a game all fine

However, when the emulation starts none of our button inputs are recognised (we're using n64 controller usb adaptors). We've set up the controls and everything, made sure that both of us aren't plugged into player 1.

Anything else that could be causing this?

Also note that when we play the game offline everything works perfectly fine, just online causing us problems

Just try to reconfigure your controls all over again.

I remember when I configured my controls, since I was using the N64 adapter as well, and it didn't recognize the cbutton as jump. So, I reconfigured the controls again, the same buttons and everything, and it all worked fine.

Both of you aren't plugged into player 1? Each one of you should be plugged in into player 1 :dizzy:
Also, you need to untick "Raw data" or "Memory Pak" in the input plugin config.

Make sure you use N-Rage plug-in as well, I found Jabos didn't work for me.

How Can I Has Recording

OK, past like 3 times I've tried to record some P2P matches, the recordings didn't save. I think the first and second times I checked the "record" box after I had started the game (which I think makes it not work?), but the last time I definitely checked the box before I started. What's the exact procedure I have to follow in order for it to save? I've done it once before...

EDIT Nevermind, I'm dumb. They saved.

Sorry, I was away for the weekend (well... more like playing in a tourney on Saturday, then playing at a friend's place Sunday), so I couldn't answer (to my fellow melee Pichu player :p )

Anyways...

I don't know how to set up a server... so you'll have to ask someone else for that.

If you already have a server and/or are going to use someone else's server:

Make sure you have Project64k (emphasis on the "k").

Go to "File", then "Start Netplay".

Create a username on the bottom left.

Double click the server you want to join.

You should now be in the server chatroom.

To create a game (aka hosting), press "create game", then go to the first letter of the game you want to play (in this case, "S"), and then click on the game you want to play (in this case, "Super Smash Bros (U) [!]".

To join that game (for the ones not hosting), click the game in the game list (check the game name, then the game creator to make sure you are joining the right game. Once you clicked the game, click "join".

Once everyone you want to play with has joined the game, type "noobs, you don't stand a chance against me"into the game chat, then click "Start game".

Now, try to back up your statement ;)

Hopefully this helps :)

So I have Project64k

I seem to always desynce after a few mins of online play and I do not know why.

I normally go into the galaxy64 server and I have used both project64k .13 and .16 and get the same problem.

Could someone please help me out? =)

Never give the source of a downloadable rom. Please amend this to your post as soon as possible.

You should use 0.13, it seems most people use that one. That should solve compatibility issues. Past that, make sure you aren't downloading, uploading or running full-screen games, IM programs, iTunes, etc.

hmm... here's a few suggestions / ideas that may or may not work, but it's worth a shot:

- click on "enter IP", and enter the IP of the server. I've had the "no servers appear" problem many times, but typing in the IP of the server you are trying to get to usually works.

Click "refresh server list" (either one of the buttons on the bottom, or in the right-click menu).

PS: I play as Pichu the most in melee recently :p
