i just got a 2.66 quad core cpu from work and going to build you a pc as your birthday/husbando/wedding/never buying you anything else again present .

will cost about $200 to build this pc so not to shabby since saving $100-$130 from cpu alone, though i still need case/powersupply/graphics card/motherboard/ram all from new egg for cheap i bet.

I actually have high hopes for the basketball show. I found it to be quite humorous, because if gives people with no athletic skill hope to be a pro basketball player. I would have to say it's the second best shonen of this season below Accel world.

I wasn't too impressed by Jormungand ether. I'm fine with watching derivative crap. But when the main characters aren't even interesting, I might as well flush it down the toilet.

I just did some spring cleaning on my watching list.

I'm swamped with anime this season.

Interesting Asbel stuff

Another cool thing about some of Asbel's B artes, if you hold O and the arte direction he'll combo multiple artes together. For example, holding Plasma Shock does Plasma Shock, Sparrow Seal, Bestial Roar.

Working on his B Arte titles so that he can alter them into A artes is a really good thing to do as well. Being able to go from Infernal Torrent right into Void Sword is a wonderful, wonderful thing to be able to do just like combo'ing Concussive Bolt into Burial Blade is.

I just got Aurora Lotus like an hour ago... thats one heck of an arte right there.

I played as Asbel the whole game, and my only problem was sheatting my sword mid-combo, late game I learned altered artes that alter from a B Arte to an A arte, which means the sword gets sheatted and then I learned Sparrow Seal, which made it even cooler... but now, with Aurora Lotus i'm just breaking everything apart, the only downside is that it uses 6 CC, good thing my min CC is 14

I'm about 10 hours in and still haven't gotten the style of him

That's fine. The characters become much easier to handle the further in you are.
Especially when you have more moves to mix up, the titles to extend/combo moves, and the CC to experiment.

I only use his B Artes since I hate his "cartwheel" move.

Backstep before sheathing to stop his cartwheel.

I was playing as Hubert just now and after a long combo that I ended with the kill to one of the enemies, Malik runs by me and shouts "A+", and goes on to fight other enemies.

Once you get the hang of the combat mechanics, it's easy to reach 100+ hits during fights. I know I have a few times with Asbel, Richard, Hubert, Sophie, and Malik. And almost with Cheria.

Still trying out Pascal, she's the funnest to play so far.

We have a ways to go...

Now if you chain a spell in the middle of a combo, the casting speed is reduced based on how far down the line you've gone. So,

CC1 > Spell > CC2

Will have a bit of a reduced casting time, whereas,

CC1 > CC2 > CC3 > CC4 > Spell

Will have a drastically reduced casting time

Huh, I thought it was a uniform cast time reduction. Good to know.

Seif, the red charge is apparently broken for your character. It increases accuracy, critical rate, and specific stuff for every spell, but you in particular get crazy crits. Also, we should dualize rise/exceed shards to improve our CC. I think we might be too low atm. Turns out my character needs CC the most to be usable, since she is forced to fight up close and needs to make the most of it. Her moves don't stun/do enough in general unless she's hitting with a lot of them.

Pascal stuff for my reference

Aggro, range, cast time awareness, positional awareness
Focus on A artes
Begin with a boost, then enflame
Constant enflame; use enflame hit for health regen and combo
Sudden Impact -> Elemental Arte (esp. fire)
Sudden Impact kill -> Sudden Impact other enemy & keep comboing

Spread good for movable bosses (lift in air to buy time for party)
Spam elemental artes for skill on second title

Other example: 1CC->Freezing->Sudden Impact(if too far away to combo with spells)/Gatling Evil->Al Fine/Flux Forme(If you feel that other mobs will reach you mid combo)->Spread->Fearful Storm/Ignite Prism->etc(until you hit 6/5 CC)->Cyandeem
Simple mob clearer: 1cc->2cc->3cc->Flux Form->Fearful Storm
1cc->2cc->Heat Red->Flux Form->continue

Not possible. The maximum K value is 32, so nobody can gain/lose more than that in one match. It's based off a 400 point scale also, so you'd have to beat someone 400 points or more higher than you to get them to lose even that.

We've already had this conversation at least twice now. I use an opening book while I play online in order to "study openings." When I come face to face with someone, my memory will be put to the test. This was done regularly since last time I played chess, I played online and went to the local chess club every Tuesday and Thursday.


Apollo might be my favorite of this season, still have a few more to watch.

Wrong again. Online chess doesn't constitute the embodiment of chess, btw. In fact our system uses the EXACT SAME formula with sliding K value as the UCSF, United States Chess Federation. Whatever server you're playing on is terrible though if somebody can lose 70 points in a game, especially if there's only a 150 point difference to begin with, unless your grossly exaggerating, which I suspect you are -_-

Also I play the Italian as white, sometimes go with the Ruy Lopez depending on my opponent. As black I play the French.

your and vice's characters' population size is noticeably smaller. Sooooooo many sheiks. My character should be switched to ganon. About a third of my wins come from playing ganon anyway. Won a major tourny with that character. Where you at vice?

Getting amazing at chess was something i always wanted but never happened. the main problem is that wherever Jason and I are we have always been by far the best at chess. At ASMSA, you only started trying to get good at chess after ASMSA, and then now here at OBU. A year or so ago, we both played the best, self proclaimed, chessplayer at OBU. Destroyed him. made me a little sad, apparently the guy had played a lot of amateur chess tournies in texas and had won a couple. I had great expectations for him.

There's no motivation for me to get better. with melee I have players that I strive to be able to beat, at chess there's no point, no players we can play regularly that will push up our skill. We play each other sometimes but that's like beating a dead horse. :\

Bane you aren't supposed to correct the yoshi. He speaks out of his *** and uses his cheapass book to beat the hare and me at chess because we don't have time to play him in person but we love him anyway.

With white I'm totally with you. Both are great openings. I generally stick with Italian though. Ruy Lopez puts you a little bit too far out there. And if they move their pawn you have to retreat or sacrifice for the knight. And retreating is for ****ies.

The Sicilian defense allows for far greater control after white's e4. Double king pawn's opening, I use alternatively.
