edit: So i had to read medea again in Western Letters and we were given a reading guide to fill out, one of the questions and then my answer that I liked.

What a coincidence, one of my classes is also doing Medea right now (for the thirty seven thousandth time). Great thing about every English class covering the same works is that you can continually submit the same essays year after year. This Medea essay I wrote three years ago is particularly useful :D

Maybe if you have the sickest delivery in the world

Good rappers are like modern age poets, with attention to all the same forms and technical details. Eminem (at least in the old days) is a great example, although he certainly doesn't stand alone. His special characteristic was the will and ability (being white) to make rap accessible to most people, not some superlative talent that made him so. Although he is very talented.

Read the lyrics to Lose Yourself or something and see how many words he rhymes, line per line, throughout the entire song. With full consideration for meter. That song (like most good rap) was composed like a poem.

In responding to Arby,
1. My grammar is not up to debate

2. I considered my rap free flowing. My rhythm and rhyme changed throughout the poem. Was it there? I thought so. I just chose not to constrain my brilliance with chains.

3. I felt I won the rap battle. Even if you judge what's better rap by strict rhythm and rhyme. I dealt the greater damage in terms of hate. And isn't that what the battle was about? I won this rap battle like Grant won the civil war. By being an *******.
