I have a few complaints about the new list.

Coty is pretty Badass... But Axe is so far away. It's tough having a guy in SV as the 10th spot. If you want to challenge him, he's nowhere to be seen!

1) I would disagree. Sean and I played a lot before I went back to Yuma...so many friendlies. On top of that, he's even thinking about making a tournament in Tucson shortly so it's not like he is really retiring, IMO.
2) Based on what? Him playing and doing well against some of the Phoenix players in friendlies?
3) I forgot about Coty. How can I forget about Coty? #10 sounds about right...but axe is too good... I don't want to bump him off. But yeah, I agree Coty should be on there somewhere.

Any thoughts on this anyone? Trent, any more thoughts or rebuttals on what I said?

Yea, I forgot axe got lucky and pulled that **** off.

The last few spots are tricky now that Coty is back. Is hanki still playing these days?

EDIT: Also, with the Brandon thing...he has yet to beat me in a set, although those sets were several months ago. Yeah, I'm calling his *** out before he moves above me.

But seriously, I do see your point about Brandon, and I can see why he could potentially move up as far as fifth. It's just so hard for me to actually concede to that seeing I, or a lot of Arizona for that matter, haven't seen him play for several months while I have seen everyone else on the power rankings play within the last couple of months.

2) I wouldn't go as far as take butters off the power rankings (at least at the runner up position) but I wouldn't mind taking hanki off for the time being to make room for Coty. Any thoughts?

just the way i see the list, i think a couple changes could be made. not a very dramatic change.
Coty should take Hanki's spot at 9th above Axe, Coty is way good, and i have had some chances to play him at OC3 and a few matches over at Goops when i wasnt feeling too well, but his skills you cant deny. he has more experience in OOS tournies and shown much improvement since he last lived here in AZ.
As of late Hanki has yet made any apperearnces to any tourny's, or even shown interest of smash, so for now i say that we take him off the list; since he barely ever plays as a active smasher.

As for Brandons' placing, i think that we should place him above Chuckie, brandon does about even with Light recently, but at the latest tourney over at Play-N-Stop, Light did beat Brandon, and light beats B-will often too and chuckie. as for Brandon beating B-will that has yet been decided.

so the placings i think should be are:

6th- B-Will
7th- Brandon
8th- EnixMoogle
9th- Coty
10th- Axe

matches that i wanna see happen to help place them better since we live pretty close to each other; i wanna see Brandon play against Coty; and Coty play against Chucki; and Chuckie play against Brandon.

Brandon has been beating Light more recently, with the exception of the Play n Trade laggy TVs. Brandon has already recently played Chuckie and South Paw and won recently when they stayed at his place for a while. It's pretty much just Brandon and B-Will that needs to be reevaluated for my list.

Can we all at least agree that hanki should be taken off and coty put in his place?

Tony, Trent and Dark pm me where you think Brandon should be. I'll try to get a hold of Chuckie about it.

I honestly don't know where to put Brandon just because I haven't played him in forever. Because of that, and because I probably would be a little biased in my voting, I probably won't vote.

EDIT: I will vote, just because there are two other spots in the power rankings I want to put some input into and change, not just the Brandon placement.

Well I think a lot of this discussion of where people should be placed can be decided at my next tourney. Since it will be seeded and will follow competitive rules, you all can get a good feel of where abouts everyone is in skill. I think the list should also be expanded to include 15 - 20 people since I feel we have enough good people at this point to judge where their skill is.

I've gotten power rankings from dark and tony, I still need them from trent and chuckie...afterwards we can talk about the top 15 idea. I think that would be interesting.
