Basically, I added/replaced a couple of fighters from each game series, added Captain Olimar, and threw in some 3rd-party ones.

I know it's a little heavy on 3rd party characters, but to be perfectly honest, Snake would not be anywhere near my first choice for a 3rd party character, as kickasss as he is. There are more deserving ones. Plus, the list makes 42, which as someone mentioned earlier, is for all you Douglas Adam fans out there ^^.

I have some strange picks.

Django, of Boktai. I saw it more as a sleeper hit. His varied skills and weapons woud make for a very unique character. Negative support is mainly that Snake is already in the game, and they are both of the same creator.

Splitting Zelda and Shiek. I know, it's risky because Zelda would be getting rid of her best move: down+b.

I don't care who, but there MUST be rep from Castlevania.

Sonic. A lot of people support him. I do too. He's a clasic character, and would be so much fun to play. Wall-jumping, crazy running speed, horrid vertical recovery, and circular hit boxes.

The FF series is large enough to warrant it's own representation. Be it Vivi, Cloud, or Sephiroth.

Blaziken. Although I think Deoxys would have a much more interesting move set, Blaziken just fits the flavor of Brawl better. He'd be sort of like Captain Falcon with a lame projectile (ie Overheat), and nifty grabs.

Either Luigi of Luigi's Mansion, or FLUDD Mario from Super Mario Sunshine.

Skull Kid w/Majora's Mask. Strange grapples combined with an obscure move set would turn him into a popular character.

And finally my most obscure dream pick: Zora Link of Majora's Mask. Think about it. Twin Boomerangs, Kung Fu, Electric discharge. He's got huge combat potential.

It's got 4 third party characters, 1 which is Snake, the other 3 being Crono, Megaman & Sonic. IMO, the most deserving characters and also would fit very nicely into the game. Crono for me, is a MUST.

Mach Rider is on the list, no idea why - But I think he might be in it, got a little feeling about him. Tom Nook, that's a no braing IMO, seems like a shoe in with the popularity of the Animal Crossing games. Geno, I've never really seen this guy in action, but from what people have been saying, he seems like a cool addition.

Luigi should be the Mansion Version - I think he should have one of his special moves as the Vacum or something similar.

39 Characters there. I've deliberately left 1 out cuz it'll obviously be a "surprise" character similar to G&W that not many people know of.

Really, I don't see there being more than 3 Pokemon representatives. Third parties being Geno, Megaman, and Sonic seems pretty standard as they are the frontrunners. I'm still not too keen on Ridley, but it's the closest thing to a Samus rival there is. I also highly doubt there'd be a Wolf Link or Celshaded Link or whatever. Also, I've seen rosters upwards of fifty characters. I just honestly don't see that happening. Removals are Pichu, Doc, Roy, and Young Link. Again, not exactly a dream roster as I want them all back (Okay, maybe not Young Link), but this looks about as realistic as I'm seeing it. MAYBE one other Pokemon, but as I don't know them that well, I can't add one.

EDIT: Justification for Paper Mario: I don't really care one way or the other if Paper Mario is in there, but Paper Mario Wii looks to be a huge release for the Wii, so I think it would only be natural for Nintendo to want to throw him in.
