Everyone from Melee, with changes as follows:

Ganondorf should, to echo many other people in this thread, use his sword. New animations slapped along with that, and there you go. Pretty new character.

Falco is particularily different already. Slap some new animations on that **** as with Ganon and bam, done.

Pichu needs to have some **** reasons to be picked. Either a new moveset, or make this guy slightly heavier and stronger.

Young Link with slightly adjusted moveset. Adjust some of the properties of his weapons and perhaps vary the animations. Nothing drastic, he's fairly different as it stands.

Roy, completely new moveset please. He could, uh, be a fencer or something.

-If Doc MUST get a new moveset or dare I say it, be removed from the game, then at LEAST transfer the properties of his moves to Mario. With the sole exception of tilt up+a and cape. Mario is substantial for his tilt attack and cape, and Doc is substantial for his Pills. Make the pills look like fireballs and there you go. (Also Doc Mario should be Mario costume if he's not a seperate character. Dang it, he's just too awesome)

Well, I suppose for Roy they could just adjust the animation so that we aren't just looking at the same canned stuff as with Marth. The fundamentals remain the same.

Also, I still love Doc. A lot more than I like Mario. But even if you don't think like that, you can at least agree that Mario with Doc's sex kick, pills, weight and strength increases is a change for the better, right?

Why remove Pichu? I agree, it probably wasn't one of my choices to put in Melee, but even if they don't improve him, it's no extra work just to leave him in there.

Why not Machamp? He's got to be one of the most applicable Pokemon to the Smash formula. If you're going to tell me out right he shouldn't be in it, you could at least say why. Unless it's just because it's not one of your favourites.

Bowser Junior is a character I feel just wouldn't add anything new to the game. He would just be Bowser, but uh, worse. Much like Pichu is compared to Pikachu, and you recommended getting rid of Pichu, didn't you? Hm. Funny that.

Partially I decided Yoshi-ers shouldn't be classed as Mushroomers because Yoshi has spawned an entire devision of side games to the Mario universe, and it would be ignorant to not recognise it. But mostly it's because Nintendo have already recognised them as seperate sections.

I considered Poochy, and I didn't see anything innovative about him. Although I haven't played the games in a very long time.

The whole "Bowser Jr would just be a clone of Bowser" thing is getting really old. He could easily, and I mean EASILY, be made into a completely new character. Hell, he'd be a clone of Krystal before a clone of his father. Having a magical paintbrush that could easily be used as a staff-like weapon with an assortment of magical paint-based attacks does not a clone make.

27. Krystal (I personally have no contact with the Star Fox series (I have series I like... and I sadly don't have time for many more ), but Krystal seems to be the favored newcomer from the Starfox series... she looks like an interesting Brawl add-on too)
28. Ike (I'm going more by the list here... but fact is that the Fire Emblem series needs more representives in Smash (especially since I took Roy of my list ) and I wouldn't know which Lord would be more suited than Ike anyway (there are enoug good choices) ... Fire Emblem for the win)
29. Diddy Kong (though I've never been a great friend of the small ape, I don't see why DK should have a companion in Smash... let Diddy in for the fans' sake)
30. Takamaru (this is a hard one... only the list supports me here. But from the information I've gathered he would be an interesting character (possibly replacing Shiek in a way... though his playstyle would of course be a totally different one... I just meant the Ninja character . I think Takamaru would be the same type of success Marth was in Melee)
31. Sonic (though never mentioned on the list, Sonic has high enough chances of making it to Brawl. Though nothing is for sure, and him not appearing is likely enough too as a viewer of the Sega - Nintendo wars, I'd like to see the two main mascots duke it out (or tag team Snake ))
32. Mr. Game and Watch (I'm supposing he'll return either in his old, but I personally hope, in a new form)


At this point we see how most lists drift apart because it gets so much harder to wage the possibilities and likelynesses. After some observation, I've come to the conclusion I'm not really capable of making an objective list after this point, though I do try... so here comes my wish and possibilty though list which lacks numbers.

32. -40. ... or to 50. ... or to -20.

Samurai Goroh (the character I believe with not to bad a chance to make it... he is the second best F-Zero representitive)

Captain Olimar (I really do wish the small space traveller can make it... he'd be something different and bring a more colorful character to the game... he has his chances)

Megaman (here is the second most likely (in my opinion) third party character next to Sonic... though I don't like him that much... well that's life)

Isaac (from Golden Sun... I really like Isaac... I love the GS games... therefore I can't as well determine his real chances, but I'm sure they exist... for the love of psyengery, please add him!)

Ray01 (though no Custum Robo game has yet made it to Europe, I still have hope Ray will make it to Brawl... so far there are no Androidic or Robot characters, and I must say I think Ray would be the best to choose... I believe he has chances)

Simon Belmont (Sadly quite forgotten, Simon has a Nintendo feel to him, though he belongs to Konami. Relationsships between Castlevani and the DS seem quite good and let's not forget Simon's (oh the maltreation) starring in the Captain N series (along with Megaman and Pit... imagine if the N-Team would make it to Brawl *drools*... Captain N could be the new G&W )

Vaati (I believe there must be another Zelda character added to Brawl. Since Tingle makes me sleep uneasy at night, and Skull Kid who seems to be Vaat's greatest rival I don't favor as much (I like Wind Mages more... though I would mind seeing Vaati and Skull Kid...). There is the question about Midna maybe, but by using my psychic powers *spolier alert* I can identify the Midna and Vaati are indeed the same person! )

Lip (welllll she's pretty much a shot at saying: "Yes also she has a chance of making it". The only reason I mention her is because she is female )

Sami (I think there should be representation from the Wars game and since I know no one better I chose Sami... tell me someone better and they'll replace Sami here)

Geno (though I am highly unsympathetic towards Geno (I started playing Super Mario RPG but didn't like the game and didn't come very far), I don't want to dim other people's hopes on Geno, he may or may not make it to Brawl, as long as he doesn't replace one of my very favorites... I don't care as much)

King K. Rool (should another DK character make it, K. Rool can be my guest... I'm neutral towards him)


Marina Liteyears (Okay... her chances are slim, in the best case that is. But on the other hand we're allowed to dream, aren't we. Marina has such a cool fighting style, I'm going to be really sad not seeing it in Brawl... how I would like to see Marina in Brawl...)



Well that concludes my list on Brawl characters. I'm aware I didn't but Zero Suit Samus down, but that was only because I didn't know if she would be separate from Samus or not.
Also I would have liked to have added more FE characters... but those choices are quite hard (I would like Sigurd though...).

I personally hope that clones return in the form of alternate costumes... they should be quickly batched towards the end, not use much space, and give us the chance to play all those generic characters people can make special movesets for... but that in the end remain very similar to their original for the non-fan eye (for example Dark Samus, or Bowser Jr... they may not have cloned movesets... but the words Samus and Bowser in their name say enough...)

Feel free to argument for against or whatever with my list (or most likely just plain ignore it, as most people like to do )
