Mario (Same)- Confirmed.
Luigi (Same)- And I hope he has a 3-D Mr.L alternate outfit.
Bowser (Slightly less lag, more weight) - He's BOWSER. Come on, he's a shoe in!
Peach (Perhaps something to replace her Toad and Peach Bomber moves?) - Sh
Bowser Jr./Shadow Mario - Another transforming character, Bowser Jr. Would be Speed based while Shadow Mario would have a Paintbrush weapon(Which would function kind of like a sword)
Rawk Hawk - COME ON! This guy was BUILT for a fighting game! Sure, they would probaly need to 3-Difie him, but I think Rawk Hawk would add to the game.
Toad - EVERYONE LOVES TOAD! I hope they incorporate the bazooka...

MONEH!(WarioWare Series):
Wario - Confirmed.

Yoshi, Yoshi Yoshi!(Yoshi Series):
Yoshi (New Side B, Better A moves, Higher First Jump) - He's YOSHI. He has his own stage and is already practically confirmed.
Kamek - The Yoshi Franchise is underrpresented, plus Kamek would add some interesting moves to the game.

*Is mute*(Legend of Zelda characters)
Link (Twilight Princess/OoT combonation Moveset) - Bringing a new look, New Aresonal. Confirmed.
Zelda/Shiek (Shiek ever so slightly nerfed, Zelda get's more power and most likely a Twilight Princess themed moveset) - Butt-kicking princess AND Ninja.
Ganondorf (Sword moveset)- Same butt-whopping evil, better non-clone moveset. Hopefully Twilight Princess sword.
Vaati - Vaati is cool. Matial Arts based with some magic thrown in.

Forces from space!(Metroid characters)
Samus (Same) - Confirmed.
Ridley - EVEYRBODY wants Ridley, plus the metroid series needs a villian.
Zamus - Really hope she isn't a part of Samus, which I don't believe she will be. Confirmed.
Dark Samus(Phazon based moveset) - Really hoping DS will be in and yet not be a clonr.

OH, EAH OH AH AH!(DK Characters)
Donkey Kong (Same) - The good ol' ape.
Diddy Kong - He has tons of options, represents a currently underrepresented franchise and would be a great character. ADD HIM.
King K. Rool - Every series needs it's villian, unless they don't have a constant one.

DO A BARREL ROLL!(Star Fox characters)
Fox (Dunno wether to Nerf him slightly or keep him.) - CONFIRMED.
Falco (New Moveset/Luigify) - The feathery foe returns to blast past you!
Krystal (Adventures/Staff-based moveset) - Hopefully, her staff could be a weapon and they could makie it different from the basic sword. I think her side-B could be her ice element, her Up B would be the rocket boost and the Down B would be a ground shaking attack.
Wolf (Assault moveset) - Fox's rival, badass...has a moveset with all the assault weapons.

P-P-P-P-PK!(Earthbound characters)
Ness (SSB64 moveset/Minor Overhaul) - One of the orginal twelve, everyone loves the psychic boy.

Sora - Hate me for saying this if you want, call me unrealistc WHATEVER. I feel Sora would fit in brawl and because of CoM on the GB:A is elgibile. Popular(Enough), different forms if needed AND diverse moves.

Fire Emblem (Fire Emblem characters)
Marth - Marth = in. Everybody uses him, he's popular and he has that cool cape.
Roy - Give him a strength based moveset, keeping counter. Deserves this spot for being awesome.

A very original and interesting list indeed. The only downside I could see is too many Pokemon

Characters Cut from Melee-
Shiek- Moveset easy to give to someone else, who matters. Maybe incorporated into Zelda?

Falco- He is not a central character to the franchise and his playstyle could easily be given to someone else, Wolf makes a lot more sense.

Young Link- Who the hell thought this was a good idea in the first place?

Ganon- Not cut, but a new move set.

Pichu- ********

Doctor Mario- Sadly, doc you should be getting the axe.

Roy and Marth- Playstyles easily given to other Fire Emblem representatives.

Ice Climbers- Too much trouble to balance, easier to make other characters and balance them, leading to a better game overall.

Game/Watch- Dumb idea imo


New Characters-
Lucario- New-Gen representative of the pokemon, at least one pokemon will be added, we all know it. Possible alternatives- Dragonite, Heracross

New Fire Emblem Reps- I don't know anything about the series, but I'd personally cast Ike, Hector and The Black Knight. Again, I don't really know that much about the series so don't cut my ear off on this. Clone-ish connections.

Boo- Kirby/Peach hybrid. I think there is an enormous ammount of potential here, and it'd make me obscenely happy to see a boo in the game, maybe King Boo, I don't really care.

Geno- Too much potential to not be added. Check out SMRPG: 7 stars for more info on Geno. Or the 13 threads ranting about how great he is.

Wario- Hi2u.

Wolf- Makes infinitely more sense in the game than Falco. Similar mechanics to Falco most likely, assuming fox is keeping his general playstyle. Clone.

King Dedede- I personally think he is dumb as hell, but everyone else wants him in, and that is what matters.

Metaknight- Durrrr he's already announced.

Zamus- Announced.

Ridley- Too much potential to be wasted.

No new zelda characters, there's plenty already. The triforce is enough people.

Pit- announced.

Snake- announced.

Sonic- Too requested to leave out.

Shadow- Clone.

King K Rool- DK Clone

Olimar- A great deal of potential.

Some others to fill in space here and there. I personally believe that 5-10 characters no one is really going to see coming, so there's no reason to make a full 40 list.

That´s something I never understood. Why do people keep pushing Waluigi as a second WarioWare representation? He´s never appeared in games outside of the Mario Parties and sports spinoffs (his debut was in Mario Tennis, ferkrissake.)
