Finally a legend
I've been thinking lately: 'Are Nintendo using SSBB for marketing?'
First off, Nintendo fans already know about most of Nintendo's history so why would Sakurai add the game's series it belongs to as well as already well known information? Example: 'Sonic is the worlds fastest hedgehog.' Even my mother knows that! Could Nintendo be just advertising the series to anyone who takes an interest in a certain character or item?
Secondly, that list of first party games on Nintendo systems and the virtual console demos. It seems to me does where blatant attempts of advertising Nintendo's best games, especially the ones on the virtual console.
Furthermore, the Pokémon company's selected representatives looks like a marketing attempt rather than seeing who could and something unique to the game, like Sakurai said himself. Lucario, obviously the 4th gen representative being one of the first next gen pokémon to be revealed. When did he get stronger the more damage he had? When was Pikachu so big? Obviously they were chosen by popularity: Pikachu, Lucairo and Jigglypuff. PT is alright though.
Nintendo knew alot of people where going to buy the game. Must of them gamers. Now it dawns on me Sakuria (Spelling ): ) knew Gamers would hate tipping and that's why he never mentioned it in the Dojo. Tripping would have serviced as a deterrent from buying this game. But instead built up the hype. Nintendo wanted this game in as many homes as possible. Nintendo has sold a vast amout of Wii's so why not put 'a little' advertisement into a game that will also sell vast amounts? They know that a lot of gamers live with none gamers and casuals so they thought 'Why not advertise to them as well!'.
Again with the new series being represented like Wario ware but wait, a new Wario game is coming out, what a coincidence! Pikmin, wait Pikmin 3? Hmm... I wouldn't be shocked to find out that a new kid icarus game was in the works right now...
Design choices also bother me, Falco and Fox looked bada**ed in Melee but in Brawl...Plus does Zero suit Samus equal fan service? Bothersome indeed.
Basically I'm losing faith in Nintendo, thinking Money>fans and this:
SSB fan: Why is there tripping in Brawl?
Nintendo: Screw the gamers! (Crushes a Melee disk in their right hand) That life kid!
Too long; didn't read? Go back and read the whole thing.
So what do you think?
