Every time I do bad at a tourney and get discouraged with playing pika, you guys remind me how awesome this community is and remember why I've stuck with him! I'm gonna be working my butt off on wifail so I can put up a strong showing at APEX :D

Good! That's exactly the kind of community we should maintain. =D It's how I felt as soon as I came to this board, and it's how I want to keep it as much as we can.

I'd main Pika regardless, but I'm always extremely thankful for the fact that the Pika community is so awesome. Some (I'd say most, but that might be biased) of the other character communities definitely don't have it as good as we do, and it really does make a difference.

EDIT: Also wanna say that you won't feel like you suck forever. Pika takes a long time to get really good with, but as someone who used to be completely *** and has progressed to fairly decent (imo..... just gotta prove it now, lol!), trust me: it takes work, but you'll get there. And I learn slow, so I'm definitely not a miracle case.

Ive def noticed improvment some of which i dont understand. I seem to be able to play almost any char at at least a decent level which i really dont undestand. I picked up link like 4 days ago for no reason and i just knew how to jab cancel and combo with him and ive never read a thing about him. It came up in my pika stuff too, i cldnt qac lock a month ago and i never practiced at all after that and yesterday i tried it and was able to do it fine even tho i never praciticed it lol. Im seeing improvments all the time, and gettng to go to tourneys this summer shld help my pika alot, im just glad im seeing results even when im not doing anything haha

and yeah kenny, my avatar fits my mood really well atm. once summer hits ill put somethng more happy

Trying to think of something to contribute here, do you think we could organize some kind of Pikafest like a week before this goes on, just so everyone can meet each other, and even lean some new tactics.

Well it is looking like I'll be holding a smashfest the night before, where that can transpire. Which you are more than welcome to attend. But as far as holding some pika exclusive thing the week before.. I mean. We could. Ussi might be able to come, maybe KayLo or other tri-state people. But at the end of the day most of these pikas are coming from all over; cali, kentucky, north carolina, texas, new hampshire (YOU'RE COMING ARTEMIS. I DEMAND IT.), Ohio?, Michigan, and Japan (among others). A little farther than the other side of town, lol.

So most of them will already be taking time off from their life to get to APEX. To ask them to get here a full week early.. Well. Let's just say I cant house them all for that long. And many of them wont be able to take off of work for that long.
