How good are: Wox, boba, Rojo W compared to the top Mexican players, I knew about them before Javi and Tuga.

They are all solid players, but I think EX would be the next best thing after Javi! I'm bias as hell when I say this, but I think EX's Peach can rival Armadas! I haven't played Armada at all, but I have experienced EX's Peach first hand and it is no joke! Guess we'll wait and see how EX stacks up against players outside Mexico in the future!

Great tourney. Armada thoroughly deserved to win, and I really hope this motivates some top players from the US to travel out to a big EU tourney.

My first time watching a stream, and it was quite enjoyable. Pretty amazing how both the technology and the Melee metagame has changed since the first major TG4 which was over 9 years ago now.

RoS3 in 2006 results were something like: 1) Amsah 2) Ek 3) Helios 4) Doug 5) Seretur/Aldwyn. I think Armada got 7th or 9th.

Sort of. Although I suspect it may be a fundamental property of mango that enables him to play the way he does. Like he can play so dominantly because of his singlemindedness and self belief, and if he were willing to compromise (or perhaps even aware of the necessity) he wouldn't be the player he is

Armada still would have won no matter whether Mango or PP (read: probably Mango) made it to Grand Finals. He beat both of them resoundingly. Based on how they all looked today, I do not believe even remotely that one of them would have turned around and taken two sets off of him. Honestly HBox had a better chance than either of them.

I think it is possible that M2K would have lost out earlier than the match with Javi, while unlikely, and I think Javi would have had a pretty good chance against M2K given the way he was playing. Honestly, I bet results wouldn't look THAT different.

I think if that had happened Mang0 would have beaten PP and then played Armada and maybe gone Falco instead of Fox, in which case I think he'd have done better and maybe even won. Although he seemed pretty dishearted after losing to Armada and gave up practically and got sloppy during the match with Hungrybox so who knows, maybe he would have done the same fighting PP and it would have been PP and Armada in grand finals.

I highly doubt in grand finals though Armada would have 3-0'd Mang0 again if they had met again for everyone saying that.

I'd like to see Javi come to more US tournaments and get experience from a wider variety of players (could be just ignorant of the Hispanic smash community, but I feel like there aren't a lot of Puffs and Peaches in Mexico), a lot of potential there with what he showed today. Am I the only one who thinks Mang0 actually would have done better with Falco against Armada...? Also he can beat Armada with Fox, he kept with him the first two games, he's was just really sloppy in transition (seemed to get punished a lot for not lasering when Armada wasn't approaching and then also would should lasers at really bad times when Armada was approaching).
