Brad plays Melee only now, but back when Brawl just came out, he played Brawl and he managed to get second place at ADAT1 (even though it doesn't matter cause that was so early in the metagame for AB).

I was better or just as good as everyone playing in the brawl tourney, having played a human player only twice (once on the first day it came out, and once on ****ty wireless with carl)
