NESNoob: You are one crazy mofo. I'm really sad we had to play each other in the brackets :-(. I also feel bad for playing the gayest I have ever played (super hardcore camping close to the ledge with Marth against his falcon with tons of gimp kills and spammed utilts). It's just one of those things about a tournament match though :-(. Anyways, your Falcon has gone up in sexiness quite a bit.
Raggy, really wanna play your Fox again.... hopefully i've gotten better. Shai, we still need to do that MM.... NES N00b.... yeah, you're crazy.
Why are people telling me I am crazy? I am only a little unbalanced. XD

Haha, that was pretty funny.

And n00b, yes you are insane. A moonwalk is a Darkrain Combo, a jab-straight is a Darkrain Combo, a Stomp to anything is a Darkrain Combo.... good grief.
LOL, a stomp, knee, elbow, and any combo that goes over 25% is a legit Darkrain combo. XD (Not really lol but I might shout it)

You are just a communist who doesn't appreciate Falcon.

Dude, Falcon has the nipple caps. I like him, but I just can't play him at all. :/

anyone planning any games around B-ham? or know of any games around B-ham?
There will be something happening next week in the Hoover area. I'm not saying I'll host it, but I do expect there to be a smashfest to herald my arrival. If not, then you can accompany people going to Huntsville or Tuscaloosa.

There definitely should be some games when you return, mslano!

Also, ahrnygoose, if you have a TV, a cube, and Smash at your dorm/apartment/whatever, invite me over some time and we can play. Going to the library every day to pass the time between classes gets boring after a while. Maybe we could start a smash community at UAB! :O

Wait, mslano, if you go to college in Chicago, you must know who BlueMycon is, right? He's from Colorado, name's Kenny, plays Fox/Falco? Just asking...
I don't, actually. He goes to U Chicago and I go to UIC, so there is some separation.

I have, however, tried to get in touch with him to play with myself and my friend at U Chicago. Alas, he never replied to either of our private messages and I haven't seen him on AIM.

Palmer was in town, and he wanted new videos. So we recorded a ton on Sunday. 40 of me and the 3 Michaels, then another 42 of just me and coach.

joot, if you still wanna record on Wednesday, that's cool. Or if you wanna wait for the grand arrival of mslano, that's cool.

I'm too lazy to hyperlink each match for now... I might come back and edit this.

i do have a tv, cube, and smash, and i have a dorm to play smash in. and that's another thing. i've been interested for some time now about a smash community in b-ham, but it has been difficult finding players. some only seem mildly interested at best.

i don't think i'm gonna be able to make it this wednesday. i'm swamped with projects in school. it sucks so hard. so hopefully you guys don't record that night. oh yeah, if any of you guys wanna see me and a friend playing mike g and a girl smasher doin double peaches, search Majist + Squenix on youtube, or just Majist. whatever. i'm too lazy to give you the link :p we actually only won once, and it was a huge fluke. so if you're bored, have fun.

I understand the inevitable conflict with "Beers & Gears", but I'd love to see the HSV weeklies moved from Wednesday to either Tuesday or Thursday. Moogle? Coach? Any thoughts?

Mario Galaxy is pretty cool... and this is coming from a non-Mario 64 fan.

How can people not like Super Mario 64? Even if someone killed your parents using a copy of the game as the murder weapon, you should still love it.

You naysayers have convinced me that I need to write an essay on Super Mario 64 and its greatness. Also, I can't believe I've been so busy that I didn't even know Super Mario Galaxies had been released. Come the end of the semester, I will play that game to its completion at least twice. The heir apparent to Super Mario 64 will truly be a wonderful experience.

On a different note, I was thinking that I would make two visits when I'm at home: Tuscaloosa on Monday, Huntsville on Tuesday. Hopefully these days will work for people as I also need to spend time at home with family and work on my various final projects.

WTF is wrong with you people?!?!? this upsets me how many of you guys didn't like mario 64. i don't understand. i'm offended! i'm appalled!! it was a terrific game! i would still play it if my copy wasn't lost..../sadness.

seriously though. mario 64 took us into a new era of gaming. it was what revolutionized and standardized all 3-D action/adventure games we play. APPRECIATE it, **** you!!!!

Beer's and Gears happens whenever people feel like it. There's no controlling what day it's on. So adjust your smash plans if those people want to smash they will smash. It doesn't matter to me what you guys do. I can't play until 10 every day that you would ever want to play.

i definitely appreciate mario 64. it was ground breaking. it paved the way for, you know, better games.
i mean honestly my only problem with the game was the controls, running in a straight line was **** near impossible. i would get pissed after climbing to the top a tall structure and then slipping off the side because for some reason mario had like no traction.
in terms of the conceptual aspect of the game its brilliant of course like all nintendo games.

mslano can you take me home on monday (assuming you leave that night) when you leave tuscaloosa, and then take me to huntsville on tuesday?

:-D

Possibly. I'm waiting to hear back from Thief if Monday is a good day to visit.

@ Moogle: SOLD! Tuesday, it is. My attendence is about to be an order of magnitude more consistent.

@ Mario64 fans: we shall continue this discussion offline; I don't want to spam too much. My main point is that based on my experience with previous 3-D Mario games, I hadn't planned on picking up Galaxy. In fact, were it not for Brawl's delay, I might not have picked it up at all. Ever. Now I'm kinda glad I did.

@mslano: I look forward to your return to the HSV (you too, Kevbo... although you're much closer)

@HSV & B-ham: Holler!

In honor of Galaxy, I'd like to share this History of Mario article from IGN.com. Enjoy:

he posted on page 165. just pm him or check his profile and see if he's on aim or something.

and i don't care what day we move smashfests to either. honestly i was quite content with wednesday cuz it worked perfectly around my school schedule. it still doesn't really conflict with it now, i'll just have to keep this in mind when i register tomorrow >.>

and for god's sake DON'T RECORD TONIGHT!!! unless we record next week, i don't care. but i'm not coming tonight and i'm upset enough at that:mad: i really need to smash and let out some steam. maybe i can get a little windwaker in.... bah.
