i feel like if i pick up brawl plus its going to completely **** with my brawl skills.

id ont really ever have much trouble switching back and forth from melee to brawl but i feel like brawl plus would mess with me because the graphics are exactly the same.

i want to get good at one of these games though.

if i could get the character to do what I press the buttons trying to do i might actually be good at melee. but i feel like i did okay in the last melee tournament

whens the next tournament in Alabama

after Texas almost losing to ****ty nebraska, ingram is pretty much a shoe in imo

i think i will second ike in brawl+

also....after all of the brawl+ when i play regular brawl i feel like its speed is set at 0.25......i think i would have to start playing lightning brawl if its not brawl+ now

hopefully if all of my court issues are settled then i will definately be at the next tournament......sorry i couldnt make it to this one

The frontrunners are Mark Ingram, Toby Gerhart and Ndamukong Suh. Suh was the guy rushing Colt and making him look like a walk-on quarterback.

I'd say that Suh or Gerhart probably have a higher chance of winning than Ingram, unfortunately.

@Janitor, Jan. 23rd, Mobile tournament. It's a drive ;P but it will probably be the next one.
Finals will be keeping people busy like myself up until the 17th, then we have INNsomnia/Winterfest that weekend, then it's christmas, then New years, and before we know it, we're all broke xD.

Suh won't get it. He's gonna win all the defensive awards, but he hasn't been hyped as much as the other candidates. Colt was likely in the lead after the A&M game...but not after the Nebraska game. XD I'd say Ingram is definitely the frontrunner at this point.

You know what's funny is that after playing B+ and Melee a lot and not playing any brawl, Chef and I both were REALLY good at it when we went back to brawl.

It was funny.

He hasn't been hyped as much, but just as many people saw Colt McCoy choke on a fat one as they saw Suh choke Colt McCoy.

Because he was choking Colt McCoy, you see.

At any rate, Tebow and McCoy are both clearly out of consideration for the top spot. That's practically a given. I'm willing to bet that the votes for them are the guys who went ahead and locked in their votes at the beginning of the season, at their earliest opportunity (watch the rest of the season? Why bother when you have football Jesus and Colt What a Cool Name that'd look great on a trophy McCoy.

Suh is a pure defensive player, and likely to spark a few bitter ex-linemen to swing his way (plus any midwest folk who are keeping their bias but moving from McCoy).

Ingram had one, just one, bad game against Auburn and now he seems to be getting hell for it. More focus needs to be on the fact that he demolished his way through the number one defense in the country, though.

Gerhart ran all up and down the PAC-10. I think he has had a statistically better season? I'm not sure, but he's going to gobble up the west coast vote.

Most voters didn't put their votes in until today. I'm trying to see just how many of the ballots I can find, but I haven't had much luck. I think Suh and Gerhart appeared on the most ballots, however (this is about five total and they appeared on maybe 3)

EDIT: Also Clausen and Tate both decided to go to the NFL following this season. On Weis' reccomendation. Ahahahaha, way to give Notre Dame one final finger on your way out, fat man. Whoever comes in after you is going to be left nothing but bones and dirt. They've already been turned down by one guy...

The best player this year was Rolando McClain.

But apparently ESPN is too busy jerking it to touchdown porn to notice that a player on the defense is calling the plays more often than the guy in the booth.

Whenever Tebow audible'd in the SEC game? McClain would audible right back. And then stuff it down his throat.

I tried to play as G&W in Melee today and I just got destroyed... How do you do it Joot?

Moogle and Reflex will tell you to just space fair and dtilt, but I don't believe that janky ****. It works against basic opponents (Andy still ****s me up with it on the off chance we do GnW dittos, but I am terrible at dittos so w/e).

Basically with GnW (and any other character) it is about finding openings. fair is certainly your best approach in most cases, but dashdancing w/ wavedashes mixed in can be used to create openings.

Hmm... I'm not sure if you actually wanted a detailed response, so I'll leave it at that for now. If you want more GnW then PM me - I am in the middle of studying for finals and I actually shouldn't be on here right now.

P.S. If you believe that GnW is a ninja, then he will become a ninja in your hands. Just believe!!! Oh, and also change your color based on counterpick stages - blending in with the background has actually helped me a couple of times (Remember, ninjas fade into the background)

Yeah after playing melee/b+ for a while I went back and played falcon vs zigsta's squirtle. Usually he takes 2 stocks off my falcon every time but this time we went about even.

I was doing really weird things and it was working so it was pretty cool. Weird things like ftilt and dair and stuff? Weird things.

I've found that all of GnW's moves can be used in a variety of situations. GnW's moveset is above average if you ask me. Now if we can just get rid of that pesky shield and make it so that he doesn't get combo'd like crazy or die at 60%

his move set is legit as ****

he's one of my favorite charactesr to play, he moves so fluidly across the screen he's got an excellent dash dance and wave dash, and suitable jumping height to do cool stuff with him.

and his up b is AMAZING. and his d tilt is one off tha best moves in the game

I'm pretty sure it won't mess you up in brawl. The two games play pretty drastically different, for being so similar.

Going from B+ to brawl is easier for me than going from melee to brawl, but even that isn't that hard.
