I'm up for brawlin today or tommorrow, depending on the time. I also finally have a black smexy wii(!!!) So if there's nothing planned i'm up for having a few people round/going somewhere to wii it up tonight or possibly tommorrow.

Is it wrong that I bought my wii two days ago and i've already unlocked every character/completed subspace/unlocked almost every level?

also, seconding cries for Nanda to use nado, so we have MU experience. I'm especially interested as M2K says nado is horrible and easily punished in ZSS/MK matchup, but it still ***** me.

ZSS punishing tornado is pretty much this:

  • If he starts it far away enough, charge a dsmash: 100% chance to beat tornado, it outranges tornado. The only problem is 20 frame startup. MK can cover like half of smashville in 20 frames.
  • Pivot grab. 100% chance of beating tornado. The problem is pivot grab is so **** slow that any MK paying attention can simply move above/out of range and then go back to tornadoing you.
  • Hold shield up -> utilt. This is for when the MK stays on your shield for the entire duration of the tornado.
  • Hold shield up -> dash attack. This is for when MK retreats away from you after pressuring your shield.

All options have different followups so make sure you're aware of them.

Note: Your aerials will only beat the start and end of tornado. They will clash otherwise and will probably get you punished. Except maybe nair. Except that's a dumb idea.

awesome: may or may not be there, due to life as per usual :-(. If I do come, will we need the extra wii? I obviously can't bring my TV on my motorbike, but the wii is easy enough.

Also what's with everyone whining about Nanda's tornado abstinence? Why don't we whine about Scabe not using Diddy instead? Exactly.

Aerials can't clash, they go straight through each other. But if ZSS' aerial hitbox doesn't connect with MK's body before a tornado hitbox hits her foot, she gets caught in tornado anyway.

You're mistaken. The clash bubble indeed appears.

FYI, ZSS nair clashes. It's the one weird exception to the rule.

But their animations don't get canceled... and neither do their subsequent hitboxes if they're multi-hit. Who designed this game?!

Okay I did some testing. If tornado's grounded, you can cancel it. As in, you can get an attack to collide with tornado and end it. If your attack deals 10% or more, you'll actually knock MK out of it and damage him.

If it's airborne, you can't cancel it with your aerials. You can clash with it, but you'll only cancel one of its hitboxes and the rest of tornado and all its remaining millions of hitboxes will continue as per normal. In this case I think, if you're lucky enough to hit MK before his tornado hits you, you can knock him out of it.

Turns out kaleido's right, and ZSS' n-air can "clash" with aerials, but most other aerials can't clash with each other for some reason. :dizzy:

Tornados more gay in the air, because it has aerial properties, however if you start it on the ground it's less broken and can be beaten/stopped easier.

Yeah, you can't really 'beat' tornado, since if MK knows whats what you won't get the chance, or only very rarely. Long and short of it is tornado is broken. So is MK. **** Yeah.
