My friend Allied was broke for a tournament one time. He asked me dearly "Ophy can you spot me ever so dearly for singles and doubles?" I dearly replied with yes and that's where it began. Weeks upon weeks with no money repayed (2months to be exact), he began to avoid me and turn everyone against me. And to think after all the car drives, after extra money spent at Apex for a hotel room which I never charged him for, I never asked to be reimbursed for these things. And don't reply with "I have no money" because tomorrow he's going to a tournament.

It's just a video game, Dave.

well people before you bash on me for something lets hear both sides of the story shall we.

So me and Ophy here decide to go to a PA tournament i told him i wanted to go and we would team and we would ****. Whatever so i tried to get money but i couldn't telling him yeah i really can't go unless i can borrow some money for you. hes like ok how much i'm like i guess its gonna be 20 dollars around about. So we do the tournament and after every tournament ophy loses he gets emotional and very depressed and takes out his emotions on me (I would know i've known this kid for so long) he constantly changes his characters and continuely harasses me and my friends when in reality he has no friends other than us because we play smash with him. So i paid for his doubles entry fee and singles entry fee for another tournament we were at together


so in reality i only owe him 10 dollars which i will not pay him back.

For the amount of anger and harassment this kid has put me throught especially for the amount of in real life issues i have currently (i just graduated and i'm about to get kicked out of my house etc etc) i will never pay this kid back or even be friends with me i absolutely despise him and he knows i absolutely love the smash community. so now hes using this to turn everyone to hate me or get myself a bad name in the community.

I have made many friends in the atlantic north section. I help host tournaments i like to be friendly to everyone i come around and i do insane amounts of favors all around.

Asked him multiple times throughout June and this month.

He always says he doesn't have money or curses me out to avoid it. I know he doesn't work, but he is still attending tournaments.

He actually owed me money in February for gas money going to Princeton, NJ, but he avoided it by getting in a fight with me and ending our friendship for about 2 months.

I pick up dog **** for $15 a week as my job and I save my money. I don't spend it needlessly. With this week being an exception - I don't spend all of my money on a tournament. I currently only have $15 on me, that is my fault for going on vacation. But really, I do think I deserved to see my cousin and my ex and get away from all my problems for 2 weeks. (Reason she's my ex is because my mom kicked me out of the house. I now live with my Dad; who is a 2 hour drive away)

If you don't call that a legit excuse besides "I'm bad with managing money" then I don't know what is.... also if I place in the tourney, I'll be paying him back sooner then next Thursday (when I get payed again and plan to pay him back)

Frank its not that i refuse him 10 dollars i simply dont have i had other uses for it and he askes me as i have my weekend made up.

Spend 75 cents on some sticky notes. Put a sticky note saying "Owe kid $10" stick it somewhere where you'll see it daily.

I can understand something like this slipping your mind. If you find that you sometimes forget other things, that 75 cents on sticky notes was worth it.

I have to do this because my short term memory sucks.

But I can't and won't speak for the community) so the best thing to simply end this and never have to deal with it again is just to give him $10.

Also moderator's have lives as well (with the exception of myself), and I don't think anyone with the power to close this is currently on SWF. Also asking for it to be closed without contacting those with power doesn't really do anything. They may happen across it and close it. If they don't, nothing will happen. Also if you did contact them - they are most likely offline.
