Picking a Main
The community cannot pick a main, secondary, or any type of character for you. It is recommended that you research the different character boards and just go with your own instincts after playing all the characters to make this type of PERSONAL decision. As such, we will not allow threads asking "who should I main" to be made.

Who should you play?
Instructions:
Before starting, I would suggest a pen and paper to keep track of things. After each question, right down the corresponding letter and number. For example, I answer A for question 1, then B for question 2, I should write down S4. I then answer B for question 3. I then write down T12. Continue this until you get to a letter and number that has a single corresponding character.
Once you get to a bolded number with a character by it, EVEN IF YOU HAVEN’T ANSWERED ALL OF THE QUESTIONS, you’re done with the quiz and that’s your character.
Don’t poop your pants when you try and rig it to get your main and you end up with someone you don’t like.
The answers for these questions are arguable, and I am the one who made the decisions regarding individual characters. If you disagree, then that’s fine, characters can fit into a multiple number of categories and there is plenty of grey area for these questions. I made it how I felt it would be balanced.
I may have had to choose between two characters who both don't have attacks with specifically good knockback. I would then choose the character with the BETTER knockback.
The only REAL way to determine which character you like is to play the game on your own, this is not legitimate in anyway, it’s just something I (an amateur smash player) made in Word.
Question 1
A. I don’t care about tiers/I don’t know what that means/Tiers don’t exist! You’re a tool!
B. I like to play a character that I know will be good, someone who I can achieve maximum potential with. I seriously like winning matches.
C. I like playing mid/low tier because it gives me a sense of accomplishment when I win, and it’s not like tiers make a difference when you outplay your opponent.

I got Pit, sort of. Some things were either way, so I recorded both paths. I also ended up with Diddy kong and Olimar. Obviously I scrapped those results.
It was hard not to bring in my main's influence into the question and just think of your answer abstractly.

Not sure what to say other than it was fun! ^^ I really don't know (or won't bother finding out) if this is accurate or not, but it still was fun.
Even thought I first started with "I like low/middle tier characters" one of my (scrapped) results is Wolf. >_>
With all the "maybe this, maybe that" answers, I got Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, Lucas, Fox, Wolf, Ivysaur and Zelda.
I'm surprised I didn't get Ness. Hm... Oh well. =P Out of all of those, you could say Mario, Luigi and Fox are correct. Bowser and Ness seem to be missing, but never mind.
Lol after three questions i already got MK :S.

EDIT: I chose a character thats better off stage, and i got charizard :S
Then i decided that i'd like a character better onstage and i got marth

heh, I got Falco first (providing that I like projectiles), then Marth (providing that I like being better onstage), then GW (providing that I like being above average offstage).
At least I got my main eventually...maybe I'll try Falco out and see if all his hype is true. I've been working on Diddy as my secondary though, who I really like playing as. This quiz was cool though!
This took like 2 1/2 hours of 2 days (Now 3 since I'm changing the color after i make this)
On the word document next to every combination I have a list of characters based on the previous set. The highlighted ones are just where it got down to a single character. If anyone wants to see it with all of the characters on it to determine who I eliminated based on what, just lemme know.
Yoshi is a character that I rarely play and I don't know much about, other than his recovery and weight. I assumed that his smashes had decent knockback because of his weight, and I know they come out faster than most other heavy characters, so I thought he had good kill potential. Unfortunately, changing the test would be a serious b1atch, although sometime I may tweak it.
Another thing that I think is wrong is that I put DDD in the "Has good kill potential" category over the "both but if you can't kill, that's no good", even though DDD"s chaingrab is prosauce at racking up damage. This is something I regret, but there were already an uneven distribution of characters in that category.
