Aarvark :4villager: 2-1 Z :4pikachu: in a reverse 2-0 to make top 32 losers. Z definitely mixed aggression and patience (maybe?), but died to many F-smashes among kill options.

K9sbruce :4sheik: 2-1 Candy:4fox: to make top 32 losers. Candy seemed to be bringing the set back, but ultimately lost to poor DI, dying to a rage Sheik F-air at 95 at the ledge (I think, but it was in the 90s).

And Raito :4duckhunt: 2-1 K9sbruce :4sheik: to make top 32 winners as well.
You can say that K9 has fallen to the canines. hehehehehe............ I'm very sorry for that.

Might as well re-post the tournament conditions to this fresh page.

I really want to see Shuton succeed and he has a shot in my opinion. Komorikiri too, but I just realized it he beats VaLoR and Raito by some miracle beats Tweek, we will see a teamkill.

And Abadango :4bayonetta:2-1 Nicko :4shulk: to add on to Shulk's dismay. Nicko looked pretty tired game 1, clutched out game 2, but got dominated game 3 by Aba.

AC :4metaknight: 2-1 Kameme :4megaman: in a heartbreaking game 3 in my opinion. Hopefully Kameme pulls through and makes it through losers.

Cosmos :4corrinf: 2-1 Vermilion :4cloud2: to make top 32 winners. The third game was pure domination from Cosmos, being precise with his tippers.

Captain L lost 3-2 against ESAM with only Jigglypuff.

Captain L showing that Jigg can do stuff even though Jigg is terrible GG

This is from Flatiron which have ESAM, ANTi, MVD, and many others

AC:4metaknight: vs Kameme:4megaman: 2-1
Abadango:4bayonetta: vs Nicko:4shulk: 2-1

The Shulks, as expected, is getting swiped off the tournament. Nicko, the best Shulk in the event, in now in Loser's.
Also, the ending to The Guest and Nicko is going to someone's top 10 mindgames compilation. LOL

Nicko :4shulk: 2-0 The Guest:4diddy: in order to make top 32 losers. So now we have him and Sriks alive for Shulk.

Well, only Nicko and Sriks. Tremendo Dude :4shulk: lost to Mago :4bowser: 0-2 to place 49th. Only two Shulk mains remain.

Hold on, hold on. You can't just gloss over Ac beating Kameme.

What do you mean? I am just noting that is something that happened in bracket. Both of those players are making strives to stay in the PGR, and are closely ranked to eachother.

I guess he is looking at how Kameme is still ranked higher in this case. I don't mind too much, because at least Kameme still made it out of pools.

Tomorrow is going to be a Cloudy day with a chance of 20XX. It is going to be exciting nevertheless.
There are two Shulks left, with both of them in Losers and have a powerful co-main/secondary at disposal (with Nicko being Marth, Sriks with Luigi).

Right now, I am just chilling, watching the Pokken Tournament bracket until I feel like going to bed. See you guys tomorrow.

Well, at east they are doing better at the Shulk round robin, and it seems Shuton might have this in the bag!

Well, nevermind. Shuton lost to Kameme, and Nicko won the entire Heir to the Monado side event, undefeated.

I'm noticing several surprises in top 32 of SwitchFest.
VaLoR :4sonic:, Sriks :4shulk:, Slither2Hunter :4metaknight:, and Virum :4charizard: all placing top 32.
Aarvark :4villager: vs falln :rosalina: could be a likely upset. People were pointing out falln's potential high placing, but if past results are anything to go by, falln may soon be out at 25th due to an unfortunate upset by VaLoR.

I'm not sure about that. This is not the first time I've seen Captain L beat people with Puff, but against BestNess? Very strange to see.
Maybe it was matchup unfamiliarity.

Pretty surprising considering Shulk doesn't have the best matchup against Diddy. Mago has a formidable Bowser.

Here are the top 8 results for Flatiron 3!

Top 8 Results:
1st: ESAM :4pikachu:
2nd: MVD :4diddy:
3rd: Captain L :4jigglypuff::4pikachu:
4th: BestNess :4ness:
5th: ANTi :4mario::4cloud2::4sonic::4zss:
5th: FroZn:4mario:
7th: Shoe :4zss:
7th: Enrique :4lucas:

Got to say, Captain L made a fantastic run in this tournement while maining mostly Jigglypuff, arguably the WORST character in the game.

Throughout this tournament, Captain L's Jigglypuff did the unthinkable:
  • His Jigglypuff beat BestNess twice,
  • Nearly upset ESAM, 2-3 loss.
  • Does well against MVD despite being a 3-0 loss.
His Jigglypuff is something to be threatened.

Also, BestNess making a clutch against ANTi is a sweet victory for BestNess. 4th place is something to be proud of.

...
Edit: Not related to this bracket but I just realized that Frostbite Ursa Minor 2 is now counted as a C-Tier tournament. Which means that Gackt's 2nd place alongside his wins on Dyr and Komo were counted. Let's go!

5th: Kiki:4diddy:
5th: Phuzix:4sheik:

While the Smashwiki has it as C tier, for some reason, the actual PGR chart doesn't have it in. And an event called ConComics April 2018 has been added as a C tier event happening today. It is a Mexico major event, with a lot of the Mexican PR'ed players attending, but with no MKLeo in sight due to obvious reasons.

AC :4metaknight: 3-1 Cosmos :4corrinf: in an almost easy manner.

Larry Lurr :4fox: 3-1 Abadango :4mewtwo:. Every game went last stock, almost last hit.

17th: Nicko

That ends all the Shulks. He is lucky to not get out at 25th, instead facing Lui$ instead of players like Kameme, Eon, or K9.

Cosmos :4corrinf: 3-0 Shuton :4olimar:. Shuton started off with a lead every time, but rage from Cosmos was too much to bear.

The ending to MKLeo (btw, MKCleo is officially back!) and Larry Lurr is going to someone's top 10 Commentator's Curse compilations. XD

Nairo :4zss: 3-2 VoiD :4sheik: in a close game 5 set. A lot of Boost Kick shenanigans, and VoiD struggling to take stocks. Nairo advances to top 8.

Abadango :4bayonetta: 3-0 falln :rosalina: to face VoiD to make top 8 from losers. Not surprising, given Aba's experience.

Larry Lurr :4fox: 3-2 Charlie :4fox: in a hilariously close set to make top 8 from losers.

Raito's Duck Hunt play is just something else. But we all knew that already.

3-0 victory for Raito against Cosmos. I don't think Cosmos has ever fought Duck Hunt before, but a Duck Hunt is now in top 8 (only to fight against Larry, RIP).

Raito :4duckhunt: 3-0 Cosmos :4corrinf: to make top 8 from losers at Switchfest! Cosmos struggled to properly deal with cans, and Raito had the right setups ready. This is his first top 8 at an American national ever!

VoiD :4sheik: 3-1 Abadango :4mewtwo: to make top 8 from losers. VoiD definitely made it hard for Aba to stay away from the ledge, at least when Aba remained under heavy pressure.

Samsora :rosalina: 3-1 Tweek :4bayonetta2::4cloud2: to make top 8 from losers as well.

Samsora's Rosa looked like Dabuz's level during that Tweek set. All the Bayos are out, and Samsora moves on.

Now It Is Impossible For Any Bayonetta To Win The Tournament Unfortunate For Tweek
It is because they are all out. None of them are in top 8. Leo and Samsora may bring out the pocket Bayo (but even that it is unlikely), but other than that, you are absolutely right.
