What the title says, list 25 of your favourite remixed themes from all across the Smash Bros. series! this was originally only going to be 10 songs, but I figured since the Smash series' overall track list is so gargantuan, I should up the number to 25. :p
To be more descriptive, a remixed song is when it's a new composition/remix of a song that was made specifically for Smash Bros. (Think of Brawl's awesome Mute City theme, or Ultimate's new rendition of Gang Plank Galleon; those are remixes).

Because of the theme that I'm going with for this thread, any original Smash Bros. music, like any menu music, Final Destination music, trophy gallery music, etc. don't qualify.

Feel free to also include any of the remixes that we've heard of so far for Ultimate! I look forward to reading all of your lists! :)

As Wolf said in Brawl, "We're gonna have fun with this thing." I'm not going to post more than one for a series.

  1. Menu (Melee) Ver. 2 By far the most intense remix in Super Smash Bros. Wii U. I hope this one makes a return in Ultimate, because it just gets my heart racing, and it's very frantic.
  2. :ultbowser:Fortress Boss (Super Mario Bros. 3) Very intense sounding, plus I love string instruments.
  3. :ultwario:WarioWare, Inc. Coming from someone who really likes Wario, this is the only remix I like out of this game. I wish they would remix some Wario Land 1, 2, or 3 music.
  4. :ultyoshi:Yoshi's Woolly World It sounds cute. :3
  5. :ultdiddy:King K. Rool/Ship Deck 2 Right off the bat this track is already upbeat and just gets you in the mood to kick some butt! Then it goes crazy the rest of the way with the pirate western sounding melody played on some kind of flute.
  6. :ultness:Magicant/Eight Melodies It was high time we got a remix of Magicant. And it makes me tear up, too. :( I don't usually like fighting to mellow music, but this is an exception.
  7. :ultsamus:Title (Metroid) I just like how it starts. I'm not really a fan of the original title theme, so this remix does it for me.
  8. :ultfalcon:F-ZERO Medley It sort of has this 80s vibe to it in the beginning, so hopefully it'll actually go that direction all the way.
  9. :ultpit:Underworld I used to hum this as a kid, so I really liked this remix for nostalgic reasons. Plus, compared to all the other Kid Icarus remixes, this sounds more pleasant.
  10. :ultkingdedede:Boss Theme Medley This is pretty cool having a lot of familiar themes thrown in together.
  11. :ulttoonlink:Full Steam Ahead (Spirit Tracks) I loved the original music on the DS. It's very heroic sounding and just gets you in the mood to Smash. :awesome:
  12. :ultfox:Corneria (Brawl) At first I thought it was going to be a trance remix. I like the seriousness in this track, 4 to the floor beat, guitar riffs, and the stabs.
  13. :ultjigglypuff:Poké Floats This is probably the best Pokémon theme in Super Smash Bros. history. It's perfect for battle. The piano bass at 1:05 gives me shivers.
  14. :ultlittlemac:Minor Circuit I would have went with the World Circuit Theme, because it's so much cooler, but this one is fine, too.
  15. :ultvillager:Outdoors at 7 p.m. (Sunny)/Main Street Another calm theme I like fighting in. I loved the original 7 p.m. theme in Animal Crossing New Leaf. I think they did great with this remix.
  16. :ultolimar:Stage Select (Pikmin 2) I'm not really familiar with this game, but this track is very adventurous, and it sounds nice.
  17. :ultcorrin:Lost in Thoughts All Alone The first time I heard this I was just amazed. I like this more than the cheesy vocal version, too.
  18. :ultryu:Ryu Stage I love the rhythm in the beginning, subtle flute sounds, and the strings. I also like that Eastern sound it just has. This can get a match feeling very intense. The only track I would love more than this is Theme of Ken. The cool electronic synth sounds and the piano later on just get me every time. Maybe they'll bring it to Ultimate.
  19. :ultmegaman:Quick Man Stage It's so upbeat and cool sounding.
  20. :ultgnw:Flat Zone The Mr. Game & Watch sound effects creating a rhythm is very cool, and it's always cool when remixes do this in general. This is one of those other mellow tracks I can fight to.
  21. :ultrob:Mach Rider I liked this music in the original, so when they did a remix of this obscure game, I was pretty happy.
  22. :ultduckhunt:Duck Hunt Medley They did a pretty good job with this remix. It's not exciting or anything, but it's enjoyable enough.
  23. :ultpacman:PAC-MAN (Club Mix) This is my favorite Pac-Man remix. It gets tense and I like the little Pac-Man sound effects in this track.
  24. :ultshulk:Xenoblade Chronicles Medley Kind of unfair considering this is the only remix for Shulk in Smash. Still, this is a pretty good one, and it's ranked high up for my music choice in-game.
  25. :ultmiifighters:Dark Lord When I first heard this and Save the World, Heroes! on the 3DS version, I instantly loved these themes. I hope we can actually play on a Miiverse stage in Ultimate so I can hear this track again.

1. :ultlittlemac: Punch-Out! Minor Circut
The Punch-Out fight theme may be one of my favorite video game tunes of all time and it always pumps me up to hear a good remix of it... I may have just a few too many remixes of the song downloaded onto my phone.
2. :ultkrool: Donkey Kong Country - Gang Plank Galleon ( Ultimate )
I haven't even heard the full version and I know this is going to be one of my favorite, if not my favorite remix in the game. I loved the original Song to bits. Much like above, I had a few too many remixes of it on my phone... I did not care for the Brawl version, however, But oh man is the new version incredible.
3. :ultgreninja: Pokemon X/Y - Trainer Battle
I'm not even that passionate of a Pokemon fan and I generally think the music in newer pokemon games is lackluster, but this battle theme in particular really pumped me up. Maybe it was the trailer that it revealed with, because it was a very good trailer, and I didn't notice how much I enjoyed the battle theme from X/Y util going back and listening again after the Greninja Reveal.
4. :ultsamus: Brinstar - Smash 64 version
Is it weird that this is my favorite version of the song, despite the number of remixes it got? This includes both in an out of Smash, though the Nintendo Land version kind of gives it a run for the money... I dunno, this might be the most bombastic and upbeat tune in the Metroid series, just ahead of the Main Tunnel theme from Metroid 2. I know Metroid is kinda known for ambiance and isolation but I wish the series had a few more tracks like this one.
5.:ultpikachu: Pokemon Main Theme - Melee Version
This is basically the same as the version from the TV show, but spiced up a little with chimes and a choir. Always loved when they go with the big band brass instrument for this song, it really makes it sound like the anthem to a big stadium event that the whole world enjoys. And that's what the spirit of pokemon is all about for me. ( in fact, now that there's an audience in the Gyms for Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, I feel like it's getting closer to how I imagined the games as a child. There has never been enough "big stadiums and crowds" imagery in the main series imo. )
6. :ultyounglink: - Great Bay/Zelda Main Theme - Melee Version
This version of the song has convinced me that the main theme of the legend of Zelda works better as a battle theme in a sunny, early game, environment than it does an overworld theme you hear looping over and over again.
7.:ultfox: - Corneria - Melee Version
Another Melee track? I swear i'm not a Melee fanatic or anything... though I did recently replay it. I didn't know where this song was from when I heard it. I never played the SNES game at the time of the release... It's a hard game to go back to. But this song sounded like it could have been lifted out of the OST of the Star Wars trilogy. Very fitting for the series it's representing.

If you don't mind, i'm ending it here, because it's getting too difficult to choose, and my posts are always too long since I can't stop myself from talking about the choices I make in any list thread.

I was already a making a playlist in Ultimate of my top 20 tracks, so I've already got a list ready
... Though I was including Smash original non-remixes in that (e.g. Brawl's main theme), so this'll have to be a little different.
Anywho, here's the list in reverse order with explanations for each one:

25. Stage Select - Pikmin 2 - I like this one. Nuff said.
24. Gritzy Desert - Quite close to the original, but that's not a bad thing at all.
23. Snakey Chantey - I have promised to myself that this list won't be too DK-centric.
22. Electroplantkon - Almost makes up for how awful the stage is. Almost.
21. Waluigi Pinball - Mario Kart DS - waaaaaaaaa
20. PAC-MAN (Club Mix) - WAKA WAKA WAKA
19. Gritzy Desert - Quite close to the original, but that's not a bad thing at all.
18. Stage Clear / Title Theme - Pikmin - Pikmin admittedly has a somewhat limited music selection (Environmental Noises anyone?) but this is amazing.
17. King Dedede's Theme (Brawl) - Kirby characters have great themes I guess, and good remixes to boot.
16. Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 Trailer BGM - Not entirely sold on the guitars. But the rest is fantastic.
15. Molgera - Is this the best Molgera remix? Probably not. But you could do the theme with a ****ing kazoo and it'd still sound great, such is the power of this song.
14. Circuit - Mario Kart 7 - When it peaks, it really peaks.
13. Underworld - Something about this one sits well with me even if I hate the stage it's associated with.
12. Bloody Tears / Monster Dance - Tbh I haven't listened to all of the Castlevania remixes, so I feel I may slightly be doing the series a disservice. This one's banging though.
11. Mario Tennis / Mario Golf - Can't really explain but I just like this remix.
10. Meta Knight's Revenge - All rise for Brawl's unofficial anthem.
9. Gang-Plank Galleon - Okay so I might have listened to this one a bit too much, but I love it nonetheless. It's not the best K-Rool related remix though...
8. Battle! (Dialga/Palkia) / Spear Pillar - One of the most underrated legendary battle themes in Pokemon. The remix blends both themes together well and is one of the reasons why, despite the stage's gimmicks, I have fond memories of Spear Pillar.
7. Title Theme- Animal Crossing - I know we had a bit of it in the form of Villager's victory theme, but I really wanted this song in it's entirety as Animal Crossing for the GameCube really pushes my nostalgia buttons. Was very happy with the remix we got here.
6. Corneria - Starwing - All rise for Brawl's other unofficial anthem. I remember this being all over the place round the time of Brawl and it was glorious.
5. Ground Theme - Super Mario Bros. 2 - You don't have to go out of the way for a remix to be good. Sometimes it's enough to capture the spirit of the original. Which this does. Very, very well.
4. Pokemon Red/Pokemon Blue Medley - We may not have got Poke Floats back, but we got this. This pretty much sums up what Pokemon sounds like.
3. The Map Page/ Bonus Level - I promised my list wouldn't be too DK-centric, but promises are made to be broken. This is just too funky to function.
2. Battle! (Elite Four)/ Battle! (Solgaleo/Lunala) - The Solgaleo/Lunala theme is one of my favourite tracks from Gen 7, so I was really excited when I heard it was being remixed. I was slightly less excited when I found out it was being paired with the Elite Four theme, which I'm not a big fan of. Yet this remix makes them both sound so good and work so, so well together. I don't wanna be all cliche and say this is hype as **** ... but this remix really is HYPE AS ****.
