I think all of oli's tilts either clank or beat out tornado... which is obviously the problem oli's have when fighting tornado spam.

yellow pikmin f-smash beats tornado from the bottom.

Spaced yellow, purple, and red pikmin fairs beat out tornado, but only yellow backairs for some reason (at least in my exp)

Like always, DanGR is wrong on so many things ._.
Dis-reguard everything except that last sentance... only because most olimars (ie the stupid ones) will usually try to combo with fsmash.
Were it me, I know dthrow fsmash regrab is guaranteed, and from then dthrow fair + follow-up... the follow-up isn't guaranteed however, but is possible due to DDD's size and weight. If I catch the DI of the DDD, a dthrow pivot grab can sometimes be predicted at low %

Your comparing apples to oranges. Counter tactics such as spiking mk when he tries to recover, and move vs move are two different things. Unless you mean spiking mk out of shuttle loop, then yes... you can do it. Is it justified? No. Can it be done? Yes, and that's all I was pointed out. Those are moves that I've beat out tornado with. How applicable are they? Up to you to decide. Naming only one move that beats tornado rather than every possible option seems like limiting other people. I'm not going to hoard my experiences to myself. I've ftilt'd mk out of tornado; however, as dan suggested it may have been at the begining when it's at it's weakest point. I forget, so who knows? lol. Also, if you try to tell me that yellow fsmash does not beat out tornado from the bottom, you're flat out wrong. Every time I've fsmash mk's nado with a yellow it's always knocked him out.

I don't appreciate you calling me wrong. I theory craft, it's what I do. I would rather have every possible known option available at my disposal when I play someone. Hey, say when you have played before move A, at one point, beat out move B. Now we're discussing how to beat move B, and you know, at one point, that move A beat move B. Would you hold it to yourself under the circumstances that it's not as applicable as other moves?

We talk about the various options for throw combos, I've seen some weird stuff before... why does the same not hold true for other discussion. I've 0-death'd a snake from a single throw combo. Is it largely applicable? No, he DI'd poorely and aerial dodged when I charged a purple usmash. Will it happen again? Most likely not. If I tell someone what I did, they can try to replicate simliar tactics, and maybe (by luck) get close or even do it themselves. IMO that's what I like to call advancing metagame.

Brawls main depth comes from the vast amount of characters and various forms of counter picking. It's not like melee where AT's are found every other week. The best we can hope to accomplish is figure out every little nuance, no matter how situational it can be, and know when to use them at the given moment. This is all my opinion however.

Pikmincide - not very applicable at all

Times I've pulled it off in tournament: 2-3

Worthless tactic? Pikmincide is probably just as likely to happen as spiking mk out of shuttleloop. You aren't going to do it very often, you aren't going to get the right set-up, but when that golden moment hits - it's all worth it to me... even if it only happens one or two times. That's 1-2 more times than it would've happened had I not known about it.



Also, if you look at the screen pic, and also looked at the website, you would know it takes 5 clicks and averages them together for a final score. I refreshed after every time. Take a look at the 2ms screen cap. It says I got it on my first try (lol).


As for how well I place, I guess 4/20, 5/60 and 17/90 aren't good placings. I must just suck.

EDIT: For the mouse thing, it's all about prediction. It comes up close to the same time every flash. To be honest it's not possible to click with-in 40ms, for the fact that there is a 40ms delay between clicking on my laptop to the time it registers on the website - meaning I clicked with -38ms reaction time. lol

I place well as often as tournaments are held in my area. There was a break I took from going to tournaments from maybe january to may (or somethin like that), for personal reasons. I did like 1-2 tournaments and got my game back up, and ever since then I've placed anywhere from well to moderately-well (but could've been better).
MW isn't like the EC. I went to a tournament early august. You know when the next one is? The week before halloween. I'm sorry my region doesn't hold 8 tournaments every week. I go to the ones I can. There's actually a small "charity" tournament that's coming up this weekend that I'm going to just to play the smashers in the area. There will be no names like domo, affinity, zeton (#1 fox in the nation), KY (one of the best pits in the nation), among other decently good players. We'll see how I do.

As for no-one ever mentioning me as a top oli main, I guess it doesn't matter that blackwaltz, andy g, and weruop all put me in their top 5 list. I really don't like "d*ck-measuring" type of talk, so if you want to continue this in PMs or somewhere else that's fine.
