1) 4th wall does not exist
2) kumagawa

neither of these apply to the anime, so meh

If you haven't already, watch Evangelion. Ep 1-24, then the movie End of Evangelion (ignore the TV 25/26). It has different issues to SAC, but has a similar... tone?

Regardless of whether you like it or not, it's something everyone should watch at least once.
