Red is bad connection, orange is poor, yellow is fair, green is good, and blue is perfect. Unless I got the colors wrong...

The coloured circles on the side of the person's name. (Online Brawl, Friend Roster).

Red - worse.
Orange - bad.
Yellow - okay.
Green - good.
Blue - best.

Blue is the best connection and the red as the worst connection.
