  • But wait Nerdrotic, the Critical Drinker, the Elongated Mosquito followers on Twitter and every right-wing spanish speaking youtuber said that Disney was crashing and burning and that Elongated would buy the company.
Goes to show those people just speak out of their butt.

    That is deifnitly true!
However i do get where they are coming from!
    So 85% of the time!
I mean im frustrated that disney is continously an actualö **** to their fans and gets away with it!
But i just laugh and watch everything burn!
I had a dream Disney released a crossover movie with WB and Toei, and It featured Jack Skellington being voiced in the spanish dub by someone who sounded amazingly close to the original voice actor (who sadly is no longer with us).

Also Ben Tennyson and Kevin Ethan Levin were there and they kissed, that was cool.
DRAGON BALL GT CHARACTERS IN SPARKING ZERO/BUDOKAI TENKAICHI 4
The four Horsemen of videogame myths turned canon:

Sometimes I think about how USA-heavy is the English side of the internet.

One day you are speaking spanish with other people from LATAM and Spain about your childhood shows and games such as Doraemon, Inazuma Eleven, Shin Chan, Gormiti, Pretty Cure and such... And then the day after you are speaking english with tons of people who at most only know Dragon Ball and they haven't even played Budokai Tenkaichi or Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2 and keep talking about Mega Man X, Kirby Air Ride, Mario Sunshine and other SNES/N64/Gamecube games you didn't hear about as a kid.

It is truly both fascinating and anxiety inducing, because there are times when I feel like I am suddenly on a minority with my childhood experiences and such... Until I get back to spanish speaking servers and forums and people finally know what I'm talking about.

I obviously don't wanna speak to your experiences but I do think some of that might just from speaking to Americans who grew up with Nintendo and not PlayStation, the PS2 still did way better than the GameCube in America and Tekken and Budokai Tenkaichi still did well even if they sold better in Europe. Those shows are 100% more of a Spanish thing tho because they'd be obscure to a lot of people in NA. I do get what you mean tho.

I'm the weird 2000s kid that mainly watched Boomerang so I kinda get it. Oh well, beyond old Hanna-Barbera shows I can at least share my love of 90s Cartoon Network shows with other 90s kids lol.

Anyways I also do feel weird effects of US-dominated discussions on nostalgia as a Canadian too. I can relate to 90% of posts about nostalgia for media Americans grew up with but always with some details fundamentally different which feels kinda strange to me. For example, I never really had Nickelodeon for years and most gen z canadians my age watched spongebob and fairly odd parents on YTV instead. There's also tons of Canadian shows that Americans know as "super obscure cartoon network shows nobody knows about!!" like jimmy two shoes or detentionaire that I never even realized to be obscure since they were promoted so heavily to me on canadian cartoon network (admittedly I never liked them as much as american shows). I also live in a place that's essentially the same as the american midwest but call them fireflies instead of lightning bugs and haven't seen a corn field once in my life.
The review embargo for Budokai Tenkaichi 4/Sparking Zero has been lifted and a lot of Gameplay of the story Mode demo and some matches has been dropped by various early players.

    Game looks fire AF, ngl:
I will die on the hill that Snake in Brawl was one of the best things which could have happened to Smash Bros as a whole.

Sure, Sonic was the more hype reveal for casual audiences...But I feel that Snake set the bar really high for non-Nintendo content in Smash Bros and also the surreal side of crossover fighting games. I feel without him we wouldn't have gotten Cloud in Smash 4, Sephiroth's and Kazuya's trailers for Ultimate and I even dare say "Everyone Is Here" wouldn't have been the same without Snake's part on that trailer.
Ok ya'll so today's an important day for me without even knowing It until literally 6 hours ago:
-Gonna try to enter at another degree in my current studying place so I can keep myself near my classmates from this year and also do something I enjoy.
-Gonna celebrate with my parents that thing I told ya'll earlier this night.
-Gonna meet with my IRL friends and potentially my current crush after that
-May potentially preorder the Collector's Edition of Budokai Tenkaichi 4

Let's get to It all. Hopefully this day delivers on being awesome.
You know, I would love to post in the song rating thread... But I get kinda anxious thinking about whether or not I should post stuff such as Queen, Stan Bush, Elvis or even Elthon John music and getting comments about how my tastes are "too tropey" or being told that I only know about the songs which appear in popular media. Mostly because most of the songs I see on the thread are ones I haven't heard of before.

And yeah, It is really hard to think of songs which haven't already been used in any movie.

I really don't get the """anti-woke""" crowd and the people who are also complaining about Joannah Dark's new look.

It literally looks like a modern version of her N64 design, you know, the design from the game most people agree was the good Perfect Dark game... And yet people are complaining she doesn't look like the version from the game which is the most despised in the community and some even say did injustice to the character? Are they for real?
You truly can't please these persons.
There's something which fascinates me about the official Konami Spain Twitter account.

It isn't like your usual brand account where they post memes and such (there are some exceptions, but they are scarce AF). Instead, It feels quite literally as a Konami news outlet which translates the English tweets from the official Konami-related accounts, announces regional discounts and so whenever they happen and also link to the official Konami spain press outlets.
Ngl, It is so corporate... And yet It feels weirdly kind of genuine?

Don't get me wrong, It is still Konami. But in a time when a lot of Twitter brand accounts try to be "saney and silly" (which isn't necessarily a bad thing but can get repetitive or even tone deaf in certain cases looks at the MAX Spain Twitter account) It is kind of a breath of fresh air to just see an official account just getting straight to the point and being upfront about news
Since I preordered the Budokai Tenkaichi 4 standard Edition in GAME, I actually have a shot at preordering the Collector's Edition with the cool statue and all the DLC.

Wish me luck with this ya'll! The retailer at the store told me today while preordering the special Edition of MGS Delta that they usually do these when there's a high chance it'll easily sell out, so hopefully I get lucky.

And who knows? Maybe something unexpected happens which allows me to pay the Collector's Edition when It releases, so It doesn't hurt to have It preordered just in case.
Before getting to the point: I respect MaximiliamDood and Matt McMuscles as persons. They have done so much good for the fighting game community online and usually love their stances on fighting games and media. Also, I understand cultural differences and how they can affect the way one views specific media compared to the rest of the world (specially the USA which got into anime and other japanese media waaaaaay later than the rest of the world).

... With that said, I feel weirded out by the way he has been treating Budokai Tenkaichi 4 as this "other 3D fighting game" and straight up acting as if It was almost anime shovelware whenever It appears at events. Comparing the Budokai franchise to straight up bad Bandai Namco games from recent times such as the JJK game or Jump Force.
Now, I get that people have preferences and that he's more of a 2D fighter person... But you are showing your reaction to what IS the most awaited game by all of LATAM and Spain combined besides GTA VI. If you don't care that much about It at least say so while admitting that the game does still have a huge cult following... Instead of the way he just casually ignored the whole trailer from Summer Game Fest while talking about an announcement from way earlier in the show.

The worst part is that It isn't him only. Even Matt McMuscles did the exact same thing. The two of them are seen as these big icons of the online fighting game community... And they are outright rejecting one of the most awaited fighting games ever. Heck, even on the comments section of Maximiliam's YouTube upload of his SGF reaction there are people commenting about how weirded out they also were about Maximiliam not being as excited as they had hoped, to which they get replies such as "Dragon Ball fans are on high copium" or "of course he isn't excited. It's literally like the other Dragon Ball games we have constantly gotten" (which isn't true).

My main concern with all of this is the fear of finding ourselves in the same scenario as the recently released Alex Kidd Remake: a highly praised game in the news outlets from countries where the character was popular... While people in the USA were bashing It for "not being Sonic" and "being too hard", which led to the game getting really divisive general score numbers.

And the thing is, Budokai Tenkaichi isn't just "another anime brawler"... It was THE best 3D Brawler franchise and is considered one of the best Dragon Ball videogames ever. Everyone in Spain and LATAM had at least one of the PS2 games at their houses, everyone loved to do their fan favourite battles of their dreams and also the silly ones, the attention to detail and references was scarily on point (specially in the 3rd game), and It was the closest thing ever to actually playing real Dragon Ball battles we see in the show and manga.

So yeah, tl;dr: I fear MaximiliamDood and MattMcMuscles+the whole cultural barriers between the USA and the rest of the world may make the release of Budokai Tenkaichi 4/Sparking Zero more awkward than It seriously needs to be. The release of this game right now in spanish speaking communities is almost on the same levels of hype and excitement as GTA VI. I only pray that people get to understand so and don't ruin this long-awaited moment by both the Dragon Ball fandom and the spanish-speaking side of the internet by being weird about It due to lack of context.

Wanna apologize to those who have made It to this point if I ever came off as toxic during this long text. I insist that I respect MaximiliamDood and Matt McMuscles as people because they genuiely have done more good than harm to the internet. I just want ya'll to understand that I wish they could be as empathic as they usually are with this community.
There was a problem fetching the tweet
My spanish economy-aaaah face when I have to yet again change my priorities list because Konami decided to drop the Snake Eater Remake in 2024 instead of 2025:

Idk ya'll, that's literally a bit more than what was my father's monthly income from being a teacher at a private school.
I'll see if there's any way to organize myself for at least most of these... But things are looking scary.
Just realized the Nitrodome Stadium on the new Fortnite map has a chance of playing Gimmechocolate! by Babymetal and that goes hard AF. Love these unexpected collabs where you least imagine them:
Maybe It is the Fortnite lobby I'm in, but every player I interact with is taking the game extremely seriously.

I am trying to get someone to do the fusion dance with me, and even when I don't attack them or show signs of meaning harm, they shoot at me nonstop.
    >> Abdul-Mateen II most recently reprised the role of Black Manta in the 2023 DC film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom alongside Jason Momoa. Up next he can be seeing playing the titular superhero in Marvel’s Wonder Man, a 10-episode series for Disney+.
Source is Variety, so legit news.

Looking forward to his version of the character, liked him in the Aquaman movies.
Interesting interview David Hayter has with the developers of the Snake Eater remake and the Master Collection.

They don't seem to namedrop Kojima, but they adknowledge that various members of the original team have left the franchise years ago and that while there are still some people from said team still working on the franchise, they want to respect the fact they all decided to separate paths and move on while also making sure they are glad with the end result of these new projects.

Also fascinating to see Konami employees and workers in an official video saying stuff such as "we want to keep the legacy of these games strong, so that's why we wanted to revive the franchise and get new audiences into the classics: to hold the legacy strong". Quite ironic after Wario3's post a few days ago about Nintendo defending the idea of not rereleasing old games or emulating them.
