    That wasn't what I meant. It's the other way around. My point was that anyone who's cocky is confident inside. It really doesn't make sense that anyone would be cocky without being somewhat confident.

    I suppose pride plays a big factor in it, but you must have a certain level of confidence in the first place to even think about being cocky. In my mind confidence is a decreased version of cockiness.
