  • Why do I always lose to Wi-Fi flowchart Samuses? It's like I always know exactly what they're going to do next yet I still can't punish it for some reason. It's infuriating.
Once the lockdown here is California passes, I should really start going to the locals in my area. There's a lot of high level players in my region and I'd love to have the privilege of getting my butt kicked by one of them in bracket.

It's too bad I keep letting my darn social anxiety get in the way.

First thing I'm doing after quarantine is going to a hot wings restaurant near my college and ordering unlimited wings to celebrate "I SURVIVED NCOV"

I think I would quite enjoy playing against good players again. But I would be worried about getting humiliated. Years ago I went into this one place and played the games where everyone fought each other to see who was worthy of the real bracket. I of course got three stocked by everyone and initially thought it was fine. That's when I fought another Sonic main and got wrecked so hard that id you placed a barrier I couldn't get back through to the stage on the top and the sides I wouldn't have noticed it because I wouldn't have gotten nowhere near them.
Now I only play with AI and my brother with single joysticks so I'd probably still get floored, just with less self-destructs.
I feel like the coronavirus is going to be a generation defining event. Even when a vaccine is finished and it'll still have a long lasting effect on the economy, politics and modern day culture.

I can't help but shake the feeling that we're seeing history being made right now.

My parents did not witness the entire SARS outbreak...so this is probably an experience for them.

Well, we have 9/11, the Iraq war, the Wall Street crash of 2008, Donald Trump, and this virus. We'll be the best storytellers 50 years from now, as we all huddle on the last bit of land mass we will have left after climate change.

Honestly it is insanity. Scariest thing is that no one knows how it'll last.
And the long term ramifications of it all.
Whenever I'm playing at my best, it feels like the entire game is moving at a slower pace. I'm calmer, I'm not pressing buttons as frantically and I'm able to think my every move through and make clearer observations about my opponent's patterns and strategies.

If I could get myself into this mindset every time I played, I think I'd improve as a player pretty quickly. If only I knew how. Taking care of some real-life stressers might be a good start.
Sad to see you go, but if you’re sure it’s right then I won’t stop you.

I also physically can’t stop you, but that’s beyond the point.

    Until next time, partner.

To tell the truth, I may have never even joined the thread in the first place if it weren't for people like you. You're the kind of person that does make fandom fun.

I'm not leaving the website altogether, I'm just going to be avoiding the Social Thread.
