Q&A Controller / Button Mapping Advice Thread

Never have to move my hand. Jump and grab are never used together and just have to rock my thumb back and forth. Just wish the right shoulder on the GC controller was a little more responsive. I read above that I need to break it in, so I will be mashing it while watching a movie asap. The Pro...

Smash Wii U Best Control Setup For Gamepad/Pro

Give it an honest try. Muscle memory will not allow you to be perfect with it right away obviously. I was offline for a few days reprogramming.

Get better at WALL TECH, custom made training arena helped me!

Press X for a grid. I think it is X. You do not have to draw anymore then. You can just touch a spot and then another spot and it autofills a line. That makes sense in my head.

Smash Wii U Best Control Setup For Gamepad/Pro

L/ZL: Shield R: Attack ZR: Special Attack X: Jump A: Grab Never have to move fingers. and you can just rock your thumb back and forth for jump or grab since you never have to do both at once. Ever since picking up Peach, I have been using this. It helps with floating and I got used to it quick.

Get better at WALL TECH, custom made training arena helped me!

Any plans for a quick pic with the grid showing? I know we can just make a similar one, but I would not mind a 1:1 copy of it. Edit: Pausing the video every few seconds makes it more fun, so scratch that.

    Need help for "Vegetables"

For edgeguarding, just anticipate their recovery path and have the turnip hit them at the best time so they can not. That is so satisfying to me.

Official Link training grounds [Wii U Edition]

One thing I did for my play one, before the good one was posted, was to choose Ganondorf and anyone else and see where the plat was in relation to his head for Battlefield. Good work to both of you and I love that this is starting to take off and be improved upon.

    Need help for "Vegetables"

Are you talking about the basic turnip? It has a lot of uses. Always have one in your hand. Edge guard, approach, defensive. How are you using it currently?

What's your favorite way to lose?

I do not mind losing against someone equal skilled if all of our matches are about even.

Shoulder-only Wii U Pro Controller setup thoughts

Copied from another controller post that I commented in. After playing with this setup for a day, I can say that this is awesome. For me. It might not be for everyone, and it took work to change muscle memory and all, but it really is interesting. I changed X to jump and A to grab and nothing...

I made a custom stage specifically tailored toward practicing Mario tech skill

Post a pic with the grid showing for exact duplication please. I never touch Mario, but this is interesting enough to copy.

Social Peach Social Thread: Royal Discussions

Been messing with Peach for the past few days after watching some of your first impression and gameplay vids Dark.Pch. Thank you for that. Loving her so far and working on my mechanics after playing Ness from the 64 on. I have to get into a different mindset, which is a challenge, but I love the...
