I've actually had a bunch of ideas in the past, but very few have been good. My recent idea was like a mecha that evolved acording to the item it was given like eevee. Only difference is that incorperates the item into it's body and it's attacks and stats vary. First stage it's just a small mecha boy thing, second stage it grows 4 tenticle like arm attachments, final stage it takes on the item it held on evolution (if it held the lucky punch, it grows a giant boxing glove shooter on it's back, holding the electralizer it gains spark plugs, magmatizer flamethrower, etc.)

Luxray, though cool, is actually one of the worst competetive pokes IMO. All the stats in all the wrong places.
There is a project going on at smogon (the competetive pokemon flagship site) where they create pokemon that they would like to see next gen and honestly I'd choose a bunch of those over quite a few pokes. A pirate squid with a hook for a hand, a ghost mummy, etc.

...Yeah, I was absent for a while. Nature was calling, or something. I don't remember that well due to all the various illnesses I contracted from venturing outside my underground bunker. You know how it is.
That and Dunsparse. I hate that thing with a passion.
But there are some decent fillers, but not many amazing pokes. I mean, I empathize with the fact that almost 500 pokes is bound to have some slipups, but some are just dumb. You got the bronze bell, the Ghost balloon, the bever that clearly neglected weight watchers, etc.
But I still have to give some pokes in 4th gen love. Some pokes are great competetivly that otherwise I'd be "Did I seriously consider using that?" such as our friend below.
The best pokes in my opinion are those that are animal/element bassed and seem like an actual animal.

They are likely going to redo it. I've never played it myself, but it is the most popular. Either that or keep spinning off the main forumula into eternity.
If you'd want to play, I'd be glad to teach you the ropes. Remembered that pokemon simulator I mentioned? You loose the personal feel to the game, but baisicly you can edit the pokemon anyway you like; movesets, EV's, IV's, nature, etc. While the original is fun (when my parents still allowed me to play it. I don't think they mind shoddy), when you consider 6 hours to train a poke (36 hours for a team) for something like diamond and maybe an hour (to 30 min if you have sets on hand) for an entire team and with the extra freedom, it's kind of obvious why it's quickly becoming the standard for the game.
And I never used those moves in the normal game either. The minute I started playing more competetivly, though...
I wrote that in a rush, so I didn't mean just that.
It does somewhat. Check the pokecenter and you will get a strategy pokedex. I've posted a few and made a couple other sets.
I haven't given up on sigs just yet. It's just a side hobby now.

It's actually a lot more fun then you'd think. I was never a smash person as you might have guessed from my bad playing. I actually just joined the community because I wanted a game to play when I couldn't play Diamond anymore.

Y'know the wiki? Kholdstare's account is called "Lolchillinz", and he made a vandalistic edit to Chris Lionheart's page, which Warlord noticed... I VMed him telling him that Lolchillinz was not you (who he accused) but rather Kholdstare... you know.
Kholdstare had been banned from the xat, and was taking out his anger. But it's all good now.
Yeah, it's not that I don't enjoy it (when a certain few annoying people aren't there), but more that it's kinda consuming MYM as a whole. Half the regulars aren't even working on a moveset anymore...no prob i think "L" awesome
