In tournament matches you do what wins. If you aren't confident that you gimmicky play won't win then don't do it. If you aren't confident that your noncampy play won't win then don't do it. In friendlies don't be a ****.

Bobby Fischer talked poorly about chess all his life. In asymmetric games (like every fighting game ever), the top players know the balance of the game better than anyone else. Since you can't balance patch games like that, top players should be the first ones to say how bad their game is.

Of course you can base balance off of one game. A game's balance is defined in the context of the current metagame - that is to imply, M2K is the only metaknight that knows what he is talking about.
