Up Tilt: how do YOU perform it?

Meta Knight is one of the only characters I play where I leave tap jump on. With multiple jumps and lightning quick aerials, I can do almost whatever I want without moving either of my thumbs (right thumb on C-stick, left on analog stick). I don't particularly like tap jump, which is why I leave...

    Some Marth vids

Shaeden looks very quick and aggressive. Although some of his attacks seem to leave him vulnerable or are just very risky in general. He ends up killing himself all three times in that third match against Rob. :ohwell: He seems to put himself right in front of his opponent often, a bit closer...

    Some Marth vids

Very nice. :) You play much differently than I do, but I'm trying to learn all the different styles I can for unpredictability. I learned a lot watching that. Just out of curiosity, do you use the C-stick or forward + A for Fair?

    Dancing blades

Something has been done. Two people answered his question for him, and one of them linked him to a thread that is well suited for this type of question, so he'd know for next time he has a question like this. :ohwell:

Hello! I really need help against Marth.

Hmm, I'd say focus on your spacing. Marth will probably try to keep you within the tip of his sword where he outranges you in close combat, so do what you can to make sure he doesn't get that advantage. I don't play as or fight Falco much so I'm not sure what your options are. Maybe you could...

Is your marth getting stale (predictable...) ?

I like that idea. To add to that and keep with the theme of trying new characters, I'd recommend playing Bowser for a while. Bowser has some amazing jabs and tilts, and is excellent when walking (NOT necessarily dashing) and throwing an Ftilt or a similar move. He's slow and he forces you to...

I play Bowser again - have some vids *shrug*

I don't really see what was wrong with how Dennis was playing as Sonic. He'd run out of range and then he'd come forward and pick his shots. It may or may not have been the best strategy for him, but whatever the case, that's how he played and it's up to the opponent to beat him (which in this...

    Who's your secondary?

At the moment, Snake and Meta Knight would be who I use most besides Marth. I like Meta Knight for a lot of the same reasons I like Marth. He's quick has hardly any lag before or after attacks, has some very useful close range B moves, and is great at fighting off the stage. Snake is...

Marth's 'infinite' grab on Lucas/Ness not working

Alright, I just tried it again now. It was the speed I was mashing that was the problem. I guess I was giving them a slight pause between pummeling and that's what allowed him to break free. Mash quickly and they can't do anything about it, like Emblem Lord said. This seems to work for me using...

Marth's 'infinite' grab on Lucas/Ness not working

Hmm, alright. I'll try it using the A button instead next time I play and see if it makes a difference. I guess I'll try mashing more quickly and seeing if that changes anything too.

Marth's 'infinite' grab on Lucas/Ness not working

Hmm...have you tried it on level 9 computers, Emblem Lord? Ness seemed to jump out fairly often for me and I was mashing the grab button (which both grabs and pummels) the entire time. This was done in training for me, although I'm not sure if that would make a difference. Also, I wasn't...

Marth's 'infinite' grab on Lucas/Ness not working

I didn't know Marth could infinite grab Ness and Lucas. From what I take from this thread, the way you do it is to grab them once and pummel until they break free, then you immediately grab them again? I just tried doing this to a level 9 computer Ness and I was able to grab and pummel a few...

    Marth vs. Metaknight

Remember that the dancing blade upward combo is easy to hit and can kill characters off the top. This seems like it'd be especially useful against Meta Knight.

Gonzo's Official Brawl Kirby Combo Video

Very nice. :) I kind of liked the repetitiveness of certain combos and how you'd pause to say what you're doing on some of them. Makes them very easy to follow and it kind of makes it work as an instructional video. I haven't been playing Kirby as much in Brawl but I've been trying to get back...

THE best VIDEO of marth you will EVER SEE!!!

You probably don't need to be told this since you can see what happened, but don't be so reckless fighting off the stage. I love off the stage fighting but always try to position yourself so you can get back on. You lost two stocks because you went out too far or dropped too low.
