I think i heard somewhere that level of cpu in pm only changes reaction time, not general action. Could be wrong though.

Honestly the only complaint I have right now is that Fox feels just a bit too good now that the old top tiers of Lucas, Diddy and M2 were nerfed. Other than that, I completely agree. 3.5 is amazing.

I heard the same thing about lvl 7 cpus being the best in 3.0 too. My computer can barely run dolphin though so netplay is out.

I know playing against the cpu isn't good and can create some bad habits if done too much. That being said, which level cpu has the most realistic DI the practice combos and followups against?

No. I play PM on Wii U and the lag is still there.

I don't know what "game mode" means and I've never seen it on any tv. Try looking up your specific tv to see what it does. And yes CRTs have the fat backs. I'm not sure about the types of tvs.

HDTVs have a small amount of input lag and switching between that and a crt can be jarring for a couple of minutes. It's not much, but it's noticeable.

What kind of stages help/hurt Falco? FD and Smashville seem like good picks, but I don't have the experience/knowledge to verify that.

Was playing agains the Peach CPU when she suddenly pulled a beam sword out of the ground instead of a turnip. No items were on and it happened on Yoshi's Island.

As far as basics for Falcon go, very good fundamentals are necessary to do well. A lot of his game revolves around SHFFLing aerials and very quick movement (dash/wavedashing), so make sure you have those down. And as a word of advice, don't use his dash attack very often, if at all. It sucks.
