In hindsight, SNK have been extremely wise to *only* let Tencent handle a minor mobile spin-off for Metal Slug.
Meanwhile, Platinum Games are so punk that Tencent only funded them and didn't dare to touch them after that.

Developer Showcase was somehow more appealing than NG+, you have to do pretty bad to have a worse show than Geoff Keighley's usual nonsense. Idea Factory and Aksys Games could have simply done presentations entirely by themselves.

It's really interesting how a complete demake of Pac-Man Championship Edition was originally intended as a standalone release for the 3DS. Goes to show that even with a safe property like Pac-Man, some risks are too big.
