  • IDK man, I did the math. Assuming he didn't have that many "other" posts, I would be close to him.
Yeah, if we counted those, god knows how many posts I would have. Maybe more than Overswarm actually.
Well, kinda. My post average is really low though cause I was inactive for a large stretch of time. That and a lot of my posts don't count because they are on the social boards and when they first made them I lose like 2000 posts there too lol.
It looks like I am everywhere because I visit almost every part of Smashboards on a fairly regular basis. Furthermore, I have an obscenely high amount of thread subscriptions (almost 1,000 actually) which makes it easy to "jump" from place to place.
I've been in and out of Smashboards, lately. I'm grounded, so I can rarely get on. School and swimming have been cutting my smash and computer time down to a minimum.
Way back when Lee Martin was unquestionably the best Lucario (just when Azen started to leave), he would use FP in the air as a mixup.
I never could really tell whether it was an accident or on purpose, but I can say that I can see it being used (not to be confused with useful, per se) as a mixup. It's kind of like an Ike fair for spacing, except it isn't an awesome arc, but it outranges a bunch of things.
If it started earlier and didn't last for only one frame I would really look into it, if you think about it, if it were better, since it's a transcendent hitbox (at least I think the blast is), then it would've made a great safe edgeguarding tool to hit someone with.
    Yeah it's a derogatory term :V

So yeah I basically just typed in ルカリオ on Youtube. I look for somethings to learn from their style every once and awhile, because some things they emphasize more than others, like flexibility and tool design, where we focus on more "rock paper scissors" and read-worthy tools imo. It's why things like DB1 is much bigger there than it is here for marth and fox nair is more often used than fox dair, which is a high gain if you read the opponent, but somewhat riskier.
Yeah it takes some more analysis than what people are marking the Japanese metagame off as
    "Oh they're just flashy"
    "Pit iz god mang"
"America is elitist and they should learn from everyone else because they dont like the metagame if it isnt like theirs so they should just die and leave kthanxbai"
I think that the blame is mutual; we don't take the time to understand how they play, but at the same time the japanese isolate a loooooooooooot from us. Anyone who doesn't think so should look at how many Euro and Aussie members we have on this site, then look at how many members from Japan come here. Also compare how much access we get to videos from PR, IT, etc., then compare them to good ol' "Nippon". Even their smash site is like a lot more isolated from us.
They have some moves that imo we could learn from (like the full hop stuff v. some characters, and dtilt usage), but I think that they definitely need to learn more about Lucario's metagame from us.
One of the biggest annoyances was the repeated "rawr I'm at high percent but I don't cares lets do this!" when they could be camping. Taking an approach at high percents is very risky if you want to secure a solid lead imo, and against that mario especially, he could've easily tried to throw out more BAS in between stuff, since it was clear that the mario was caping his earlier attempts.
And yes, they need to work on ground game, it's the reason why nair is so sparce in their game, they don't have faith in Lucario's spacing ability on the ground imo.
They also really need to work on bair, that thing if properly spaced is really, really tough to punish, especially for a low tier with no huge ranged stuff.
dude, u should press to take anons position. the link boards needs an active moderator. and ur like, 1 of the only few people who r dedicated and well aware and i just think u would one of the best 4 the job. i dont really no how the hole thing werks but think about it
Do they need videos of the character winning against the player?
If not, Ksizzle vs. M2K was a pretty good set imo, maybe some Zucco stuff (like vs. KID), I would want to avoid the Junebug vs. Meep set though because of all the weird stuff that happened during the match.
I think we're used to raids by now, haha.

If he resigns, we really need to get our **** sorted out and have an actual talk in the chat or something. It's basically impossible to tell what would happen IMO.
At that FB thing, that's horrible.
Yeah, he's a cool guy and dictator...mod. If he does, I sense a huge mess, and I don't know if anything good would come out of it.

btw you had 1 more post then me in the social. Wow.
Like 4 times a month, on average. >_>
I'll probably change it later tonight, I'm getting tired of this one already.
I think your sig's level has gone up by like 20 ever since I started clicking on it nearly daily.
It depends on which style of Len you wanna play. C and H rely on her 236c to do her combos (iow you'll need 100% meter to do combos), and I'm not sure about F. You sure you wanna go Len though? She's one of the worst in the game, not that tiers matter in mbaa, but still, you're gonna have to work very hard to win lol. Not to discourage you or anything but just a fair warning...
Lol don't worry about it, everyone has to start somewhere. If you ever want any help for the game feel free to ask and I'll try to help.
Dark.Pch is Dark.Pch, I don't really care about him anymore, as long as he doesn't get into SBR or something like that *shudders*.
As far as YNMS goes, it was a joke, I wanted some lols, and now the group died lol. I think he'll temper down a bit, but some really "colorful" people tend to be generated on the internet.
btw, the MU ratios I post should be taken with a grain of salt, only until I actually state details why should it be considered. Their pretty much how my interpretation of lucario is layed out in terms of bad MUs, and I'm sure that others who have it differently are neither wrong or universally true, as far as they are within reason. This is how I think MU ratios really should work, because they are only so useful as what the player makes of them. This is what I think becomes one of the indicators of achieving high level of play once successfully made a reality.
Now that I look at that, I think it sounds like psychobabble lol. Me and my ramblings :D
I've got another question, what's the best way to shield? For example: Do I have to power shield before an attack hits so the shield is on when it hits, or press shield as the attack hits? If I don't successfully power shield when can I let go of the shield button or use a different action without getting hit? I keep thinking that I've shielded an attack but then I stop shielding and get hit.
Sounds good - only if we up the ante a bit. $5, plus the triforce of courage if I win. Now I just gotta $MM a Zelda.....
Link's boomerang has highest priority at the start, about as far as Ftilt reaches. But the 'gale' effect at the end of it going out and all of the return has better priority over 'pullable' things like items and some moves.
By all means, I would prefer to correct, but he wasn't that type of person obviously lol. If he was bashing on people who've done the MU who were correcting him, I doubt it would get any better to press on him, plus it seemed like he took corrections offensively, like it was insulting or something.
btw on another topic imo Link > C.F., Deva showed that to me lol.
It was a bit mean wasn't it?
Still, some people shouldn't really do things like that, theBear375 (or whatever his name was) alone probably caused enough decay for the time he stayed on the lucario boards to last, so I feel it's a bit of a way to pour frustration/angst into satire. Far better than everybody blowing up on the guy imo.
Regardless of the argument, he proved that there are levels of intolerance that can be found in his category. Regardless of who thought C. Falcon > Link or vice versa, most agreed he did some pretty extreme flippancy lol.
If he was more malleable, he would've flown under the radar easily. Making a statement like that is normal, and even proving it with limited knowledge, so I understand that. But flaming? That's a different story. It's why I felt the Lucario boards got so out of hand in the first place, when people who don't know much of what they're talking about start being stubborn around the people that do, and not listening to them, it irks me a little lol.
I've got a question. Why do characters trip and fall down on their own? Is it random or something the player's doing?
You main Link and Lucario? Lucario's good but I always s**ked with him. Besides spacing, Lucario & Link seem like night and day. What would be a hard match for Lucario?
