EVIL-AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WILL DO WHAT I PLEASE

    Translates to get on AIM
Naw man naw. I'll just have to remember that guilt-tripping works on you. You have now set precedent.

But also yeah, I don't believe you. What do you even have to feel guilty about other than that one time your haunted hands killed a man while you were asleep let's not talk about it?
    YUP.
Have I had an Up avatar before? I probably have. It was probably of Russel. It was probably from this same scene. I love that scene.

I think this is the first time I've had an avatar that isn't related to Scott Pilgrim in...how old am I? Since 2010, basically.

Also what's this Jay-Z **** about you being in The Wire mafia, your two-faced sonuva*****?
Well before the EC it did just end with Joker and EDI exiting the Normandy and looking to the sky, but people said they were forever stranded and the Normandy crew had to have inbred babies (the Stargazer scene helped their case a bit) whilst the two dextro's, Garrus and Tali, died of starvation. Before the EC everyone automatically took the most negative outlook on the end.

The IT falls apart when you start questioning what would happen after it. People hated such things as Harbinger flying away etc, but with the IT it means Harbinger is still there, Shepard is still injured, TIM is still alive and the Crucible still needs to be used. Plus Indoctrination is not something people have been shown to "break out" of, resist somewhat to say a few lines of dialogue and/or shoot themselves, but not break free of. After the IT a heavily indoctrinated Shepard, so heavy that he couldn't tell the difference from dreams and reality, will have to complete the ending again whilst having Harbinger looming over him ready to kill him. Also, what would the Crucible do? It couldn't just remove their shields, the Reapers could just FTL around indoctrinating planets and employing hit and tun tactics, so it would basically have to be the destroy choice again, but with many retcons of the lore to get you there.

AKA, not better than the current endings.

The ending for me is just the ending, the beings of light theory is nice because it fits within the game, but while I liked the original endings the EC does vastly improve upon it. Would type more/proof read this but need to get to work.

Also d'oh I wrote this on my page 2 days ago.
I told my boyfriend I don't wanna watch TDKR with him because I have to pay attention to the film.

Feels good man, I definitely have my priorities straight here.
Well, let me ask. Would you be willing to read some selections? I have an idea I'm brewing and I'd love to have ya.
Hey EE, I have a question. Do you still read mafia games even though you don't play anymore?
Joker acts the same without the EC, it's just you don't hear the order to retreat from Hackett, and for months everyone automatically jumped on the most negative outlook they could find. It took a good two months before people even acknowledged the differences in the endings, honestly if you were around with the ending back then you'd hear about 95% of people saying all the endings are the same but with different colours.

The Catalyst said the same stuff (apart from the whole history of him and the Reapers that's new) but if you notice in the EC he basically just goes into great detail. When it boils down to it he's just elaborating on his first comment (The Crucible changed me etc). Beforehand he was rather brief and the few lines Shepard did say were auto dialogue, but they boiled down to "Where, who, how, what, oh and maybe" basically, whereas the Catalyst said the same stuff without the extra 10 minutes of elaboration and without the history.

You also don't just get one extra cutscene, all in all if you were to speak almost every line with the Catalyst the EC adds on about 30 minutes of extra content.

And finally the Indoctrination Theory isn't something the fanbase talks about when discussing the endings, it has moved away from the main spotlight as it's so radically different from the endings in the game. It basically boils down to "It was all a dream then Shepard shoots himself/gets lasered by Harbinger". It's like trying to talk with a Truther about a subject, it's impossible because you're both essentially talking about two completely different things.
It's a scene from Lair of the Shadow Broker in ME2. Did you complete the game with the EC?
boutta see this **** again 2nd day in a row

tdkr pretty much confirms ras/ducard as the best character in the series. even
    his minions
can deal out such a complete buttpulverization

    EDIT man even
selina kyle whoops him at the beginning who DOESNT **** on batman in this film

i should get on aim to gush over this
First off that tattoo placement is perfect because now if I ever get it removed I'm losing at least one testicle and that's a pretty good reason to never turn my back on us.

Also there wasn't really a right or wrong answer because I'm not sure which one I like more yet. But I'm with you on Bane, although it was weird to see a clever, charismatic Bane (when most people who are used to the animated series are just used to "I WILL BREAK/**** YOU" Bane). I feel like DKR is waaaay less villain-centric though--which is fine, because showing Gotham eat itself alive was the focal point of the plot, rather than seeing the Joker be... the Joker.

It's really hard to cast a villain that can stand up to Heath Ledger's Joker but I think Tom Hardy did it so.
What's your favorite movie of the trilogy

The answer is important to both our friendship and our blood brotherhood
The Sopranos is a really interesting show, definitely worth checking out. The characterization of Tony is, in my opinion, one of the greatest characterizations in television history thanks in no small part to James Gandolfini's amazing performance. I felt some of the characters start out rather flat and stereotypical but they all flesh out in a natural and satisfying way. As for the whole 'build up' thing: the may not have the rags to riches thing but there certainly is room for 'professional growth' as embodied mainly by Tony and his nephew Christopher. If I had to compare it to anything I'd probably say it's a mix of Dexter (sans incest), The Wire and Six Feet Under. I think it takes a while to get into (I was considering stopping at around episode 10 of the first season but they it really took off) but it's a good investment and surprisingly surreal experience.
Pft saw it in IMAX at midnight

I think its the best of the 3 but I've seen a lot of people who think I'm dumb for saying that too
Believe it or not, I was actually hoping you wouldn't know it so I could show it to you myself. But I can't right now since I'm on my phone.

I'll link it when i get home tonight
I'm pretty sure you responded via PM and we had a little back-and-forth there, actually. Definitely agree with what you're saying about MGS2 and Pitch Black, still haven't seen the sequel to the latter. Chances are I will watch it at some point, my backlog is really not that significant anymore (especially because most of it isn't readily available through legal means =/).

My anime tolerance is not that high btw, it's mostly that yours is nonexistent. :p I've seen a lot in high school and am not above mainstream stuff, but I can't say I watch all that much. It has to either really appeal to me or be a strong recommendation.
I got it, but thought the Steinberg kid was someone specific. :p Good ****.
What did you mean with the Steinberg kid? Either way I'm all for you beating confessions out of people. :p
Download Justice League: Doom if you haven't yet. Now. It is an animated movie of Babel... its characterizations are GREAT for your game
So you're an admin huh? Who runs this place? I see Gideon sold it back in 2008. Any of the regulars still around? I spent a lot of my time in my teenage years here, kinda miss the place in a weird way.
I was browsing the boards trying to find some of my old stuff in Creative Minds, but it looks like it's gone. Is it archived somewhere or were all the old posts deleted?
the only reason i wish i had more time on the computer is to superman it up

i would really like to play more, but my schedule hasn't been allowing it

is there something we can work out, possibly a different format that i can use in the meantime to do some solo (or Worlds Finest duo with mashad) with you? maybe lengthy written PMs or something, in between times i can get online? honestly i dont think it would work with most characters but i think it would work perfectly fine for Superman...
