    Sorry I mixed up a couple numbers in the PM.

    Reverse the numbers in the underlined postitions.

    If you think I'm that good, then I have a friend that must be INSANE. EVERY time I play him in smash, I get destroyed 1v1 and hold out to 1v1 in larger matches. Doesn't matter if it's melee or brawl. I think I have one or two vids from wifi still on my system or SD card. If I remember I'll send them to you.

    I'll check out that vid in a bit.

    Hey, it may just be me underestimating myself, but I see myself at a noticably lower caliber than you, so I feel justified in saying my Pika prolly wouldn't stand a chance, except at first because of possible surprise.

    Yeah, those are the ones. Tap jump is annoying and I think tha's why I don't use tilts often.

    I knew NaCl is the elemental abbreviation of salt. I've seen him around, but never really talked to him. If his Marth is better than his Tink, then I don't want to play him. I'm not sure if my Pika could hold against that Tink.

    Do you mean the Max Potion that only heals HP or Full Restore that heals HP and status? Either way I can easily give you one.

    The guy in the vids is crazy good with Ylink. I know vids like that are just selected parts of matches that showcase the player at their best, but still. All the fire spikes are mindboggling :dizzy:

    Nothing against you, C Spyker, or Lash, but I think Guest did the best. You all did great though.

    If I hadn't traded all my unused Rare Candies to HG over a month ago, I would, but I don't have any on Platinum atm. Sorry. Any other item you want?

    That was a pretty good match. As it went on, I nearly forgot it was wifi. I only remembered because of the laggy countdown. All of you are pretty good, just on that vid.

    I just looked it up in my DP guide and you can buy Flash at the Dept. Store in Veilstone. I'm still giving you the TM anyway. I can give you one more item if you want (I'm giving 4 pokes and only 3 items)

    If there's ever any poke you want for your Diamond or SS, let me know and I'll breed one for you or lend you mine (if it cannot breed).

    Oh, and to expand on our Ylink fire spike talk, if you want to practice, try Yoshi's Story (or Island, I get them mixed up - the one without the pipes). The inside of the side platforms (over the level ground) are the perfect height for SH spikes and the center one is perfect for FH spikes. It'll at least help you get to know the appropriate distance/range of the fire spike.

    I know you could only do one at a time. I just thought it was weird that I happened to get to the thread within that small window of time.

    I think the Pika's moveset is Grass Knot, Flash, Double Team, and Thunder(bolt - not sure which), but I'll gladly give you another Flash TM anyway.

    I may be less responsive for a while because I gotta eat and there are a coupleshows I wanna watch. I'll try to check here during commercials though.

    I saw that you posted it. I managed to see it in the thread before you updated the thread title somehow.

    I've got 4 pokes I'm giving you (Pika, Shieldon, Glameow, Misdreavus) and one I'm loaning (Palkia). Let me know if you don't want some of these yet or if there's a TM or two you want.

    If you want to see some great vids of fire spiking, check out some of my favs on my youtube page (I go by the same name there). It's not me playing though.

    They made brawl more forgiving to attract all the casual gamers.

    I only practice on lv 5s on melee and 3s (too lazy to change it) on brawl.

    For the fire spike, you have to connect with the hilt of his sword during the dair. That's why when you've pulled it off, you were most likely still risinng from your jump.

    I went to a tourney with a friend a few months ago and leading up to it I was constantly trying to better my 3 mains. During the training I discovered that the platforms on some stages are at just the right height that you can fire spike the opponent while they're standing on it.

    It's okay, neither of us really wantt to rush the posting of it.

    You can still control the Arrows after they've been reflected?

    I need to get back into melee so I don't get destroyed the next time I get together with my friends. With the amount of brawl I've played since last I saw them, my timing may be completely off. Hopefully I haven't lost all the progress I was trying to make on getting fire spikes with Ylink.

    I wasn't waiting because I couldn't send it. I noticed you were offline (or had spent more than 15min on the same page) and figured I'd wait until you were back on. I'll send it now.

    How do you deal with his Reflector? If he manages to predict your Arrows (much better than me), then you're basically stalemated when it comes to camping.

    I've basically stuck with the same characters during each smash game. The little I played of 64 I used Samus; Melee I use Pika (obviously), Ylink, and Samus (and G&W, Marth, and Falcon for fun against cpus); and in Brawl I've stuck to Pika, ZSS, and PT. It's only fairly recently that I've started using Marth and G&W much more.

    Surprisingly, I've finished revising. There may be a few very minor mistakes I've missed, but otherwise I'm done. I'll send it later.

    i think we might be able to salvage some of our friendship since you love alice it seems just as much as i do :) you were spot on... alice rules
    i never thought i would get into the whole team thing either, but it was really hard for me NOT to choose sides i think :ohwell: im such a huge team jacob fan, yes, it almost(sometimes does)draws a tear to my eye whenever they fight......
    yea bella is really dull and boring in the movies :(

    Maybe you need to pick up a faster char to deal with Foxes. My Pika doesn't really mind spacies (on brawl, I get ***** by them on melee with what seems to be no real effort on their part)

    I still say it'll be hard to beat, but good luck anyway.

    Yeah, I was surprised too. I expected to absorb an attack and ended up using attack myself.

    Working on revising. I'm near the end of the fight (one has been defeated so far) and there's been surprisinngly few needed corrections. I should finish revising by late afternoon tomorrow.

    my mom ruined some of the book for me though, and im NOT happy at all :(
    AND... im seeing the movie tonight, and im PUMPED!!! i just hope bella and jacob dont fight in this movie like they did in the book(every five pages it seems) because even though its not real, it tears me apart hahahah

    I'm not too sure since Fox's lasers have no knockback.

    I'll be very surprised and a little frustrated when you do. Then I'll become more frustrated as my controller doesn't always respond properly when I'm trying to beat your time.

    Lucas' up-b is a multi-hit, unlike Ness'. That's why his goes through things. I've gone from none or one level of the bucket, gimped Lucas' up-b, and tried to absorb a side-b to end up emptying the bucket, so yeah I'd say it can fill it in one go.

    It's not just Fox's, it's EVERY char's camping game. Projectiles until they camp back then go in for gimp (or gimp when they get too close while you're camping)

    I'd really like to see that. I need motivation to do that particular TT again.

    Mario's Cape is better because it's slightly quicker (I think)

    I still like using the bucket on Lucas' up-b because that can fill it in one go, then you have another easy way to kill.

    How I did it? LOTS of lasers and kept moving toward my next target.

    MY Pit 2, 4, and 5 are faster than Fox and your Pit is much better than mine, so yeah Pit is winning against him on the others. Lv 2 is a toss-up: my Fox is faster than Pit, but you could prolly make up the difference.

    A CPU doing something predictable?! Since when?

    I like when I play G&W vs an Earthbound char and bucket their up-b :grin:

    I haven't really done any TTs either, so don't feel too bad.

    Ah yes, my lv 1 Fox. That one was insane. Lv 3 wasn't bad either, but other lvs, he's average and easily beaten by others *cough*Pit*cough*

    I know I tend to rely a little too much on aerials and smashes as opposed to tilts, but even I know that alone won't win versus another player.

    Okay, new subject: done any target tests since the last time we talked about them?

    Now I'm starting to wonder, why did you want to use Fox in our TT competition if you dislike him so much?

    What's with the dislike of the StarFox chars?

    The only things I enjoyed about school were socializing (what little I did) and the fact I seemed to test well in all subjects. Didn't do too much of the work so my tests really helped. I would have easily been among the top of the higher levels of subjects if I had the motivation to do the class/homework more.

    I wasn't really talking about in battle, but more as characters in the story. In battle, all participants are the same in regards to needed description.

    I'm not sure what species Falco is supposed to be.

    It helps to pay attention in school. A lot of my knowledge came from there. Never particularly liked school, but I paid attention (mostly to avoid trouble).

    The pokemon will take a little creativity, but PT will be slightly easier due to him being human controlling pokes as opposed to pokes acting on their own like the others.

    It may just be due to the varied reading and TV I was exposed to a long time ago, but those aren't new bits of vocab for me. If you think about it, their not really new to you.
    Examples:
    Lupine (wolf)::Lupin (werewolf from HP)
    Vulpine (fox)::Vulpix (Fox pokemon according to pokedex)

    Avian can be used, but to me that's not quite as specific as the others.

    Jackal fits Lucario fairly well. When I hear/see jackal, I think of the Egyptian god Anubis. The heads of the two have enough in common.

    XDDD Geez, it's rare to find my speed it's really hard work, but yeah you can do a lot with your zelda as you saw with mines, I of course only showed you today how fast I was able to move, but of course I hope maybe the rest the year long I can keep up with that speed, but it's rather hard I still have more to learn, If only lag was less I think I could of done more moves, but I think you did well, You were trying to catch me of course I was not going to let that happen. XDDD I saw you destroy the red marf real quick when I was playing him. :p I wanted to know your reactions. XDDD

    Sorry if my previous message sounded condescending. I don't mean anything negative by it.

    I'm interested in seeing how you use and portray the more animal-like chars, especially the individual pokemon (Jiggs, Lucario, and Pika) if you use them.

    You needed that pointed out? I'd have thought it was obvious that you should draw attention to the number of competitors and especially the more important ones (aka smash chars).
