I haven't seen them on a salty mood, though...

Reactions are primarily a reason why I enjoy watching them play. Regardless if it is positive or negative. Though out of all my times of watching girl gamers play I have yet to encounter one that took losing or some random event in-game in a harsh way. From all I encountered they are extremely good sports and extremely nice.

Alrighty, Apex 2013. Some rough stuff.

Made it to the bracket but oh boy. Originally I was slated to play Nick Riddle round 1 but because we were both FL, they moved me. I was rewarded with ADHD round 1. Nothing too overwhelming but I was beat 2-0. I tried both Zelda and Sheik here, just got beat. His powershielding was impressive.

Right after I had to play Pelca in losers. I beat him in game 1 solidly. Game 2 I got windmilled at ps1. No bueno. Now.... Game 3. I'm losing going into the last stock Sheik vs. MK. I brought it back an tied it up at 150+% each. He glided onto the top platform of BF and lied there. I just went on my guy instinct and tried to Bair him. I hit but traded with his Nair. We died at the same time. Him off the top, and me at the very corner blast zone. I lost. If I DIed just a little more up. I could've won. Alas, 0-2 in bracket.

Zelda held it down for me in pools against deathnote and his ICs as well as Kenrawr and his Snake. She got me out of pools so at least one goal accomplished.

Also played a ton of Zelda dittos with NekoKatsu. So much fun and he's very talented. We stomped people with our double Zelda. Me and Riot also had a blast doing double Zelda.

Overall, had a blast. Super disappointed with dubz and had higher hopes for singles but I had a good time.

Why am I not surprised?

I may have my own gripes with the Brawl community, but that guy seems to have it much worse. Almost every time I see him post, or the few times I come to SWF, he's always complaining about the community. Whether that's the Brawl community, or the Zelda's community. Sure, our community is dead, a lot of us are too lazy to do anything, and a handful of us quit Brawl. But that's just how it is. Most people will get bored of Brawl one day, and will gradually stop contributing to the community. That's been happening already for quite awhile. Either he just accepts that in two ways; he can help contribute with other people who are looking to do the same thing, or he can just do nothing and enjoy the game when the mood comes.

I'm sure there is more to him leaving, and I'll respect him for that. I myself have been mentally struggling on whether or not to leave this community. As for him being a TO that's making him quit, I cannot relate to that. However I can say that our old Texas TO, Xyro, had to put up with stuff like this too, and he's done this for years. He has a family and a life, and last year he hosted his last tournament. He was ready to move on.

If you're in a community consisting of mostly male teenagers, you can't be expecting royal treatment. Even if you are a Zelda main.

Well, hope it works out for the best for him. I will nevertheless, remain unsurprised, even if he does decide to come back.
