There's some on it, but it isn't instant and it stops before the first active frame. If you look closely you'll see the Mii blinking during the intangibility frames, like during a roll or air dodge.

If you look up "Giant Microbes" you can even find a Cancer plushie (no, not Sonic), Herpes plushie, or sperm plushie (lol). I'm going to go broke getting all of this obscure crap.
