This thread won't keep growing with "moments of silence" don't be silly.I would like to request a moment of silence for the Brawl Zelda social, which has been passed in post total tonight by the SSB4 Zelda social.
It's still too fast for me to see.Pfft that tumble animation
ZSS' animation changed so much, it made that laser's hitbox look ridiculous. If you look really closely, you'll actually see her body twist for a frame so that her head is right over it though.
I thought it was a leather bag.Turns it into a plastic bag in a tornado.
So now we have Willy Wonka's Great Glass Elevator with explosions?it's k gorl, yew get a flashy new elevator!
Yew know how stubborn I am lol. I'll try and it's this Saturday. Escaping combos and being able to buffer into moves is really good. Also the potential kill set ups. I'm sure it's useful but the question is, is it as good as Farore's Wind and atm it's giving it a run for its money. Faster end lag, more recovery is also something to look atBtw @ Macchiato I don't recomment you using Squall in your tournament until we do more experimenting with it. Well I dunno when the tourney is but we're still not sure it's even that useful .
I know you are, kiddo, that's why I mentioned it.Yew know how stubborn I am lol. I'll try and it's this Saturday. Escaping combos and being able to buffer into moves is really good. It could be a great change who knows, I'll start expirimenting tmr and maybe play friendlies with itI know you are, kiddo, that's why I mentioned it.
I don't think Squall has any real potential use as offense except for punishing laggy moves, since they can shield the windbox and it's got a remarkably slower start up. And even then it's not a real punish because you don't have any guaranteed follow up if you don't ledge cancel it, which makes it a very situational punish. If it can do what we theorize it can do it's like a 90% defensive move. It will shift the playstyle DRASTICALLY.
If it doesn't work out then I'll just switch back to default zeldaYou're gonna eat your words, Macc. Remember when you said that you'd use G&W in a tourney 2 days after picking him up? Ended up not going well in your favour. We've only found one situational use of FS so far, so unless you're okay with sacrificing your potential tournament placing to test this, I would stick with what works.
We could make a metagame threadMaybe we should move this to another thread. Is there a thread for custom move research that isn't the custom move repository or whatever? I think a thread on Squall could have enough info to stand up on its own.
I'm making a thread for custom research to have the Fairy Fountain be for standard. Gimme a couple minutes. We could make a metagame thread
Do allstars on medium, it's really fast and easyDoes anyone know how to unlock customs fast on the Wii U version? I only have them unlocked on the 3DS version but I can't test with two people on the 3DS sooo...
I think all 3 phantoms would work well with Squall. If you're going to run Squall, run it with Phantom Strike imo. The high damage and short charge time are probably usable to punish the forced whiffs, especially if they extend their rapid jab or something.
According to Master Core, Strike's the one with the bigger hitboxes; it felt that way when I was playing with it ingame too, though I admittedly haven't toyed around with Breaker so maybe the Phantom moves forward more with that or something and that's what makes the difference. Strike has more actual reach on the sword, at any rate.Phantom Breaker: Shield pressure and the only phantom with enough reach to punish when you Squall Cancel out of combos.
Yup. Just enter their profile > click follow.People can follow you on here? Huh. Learn something new everyday.
It's cool, right? *prepares a shrine to Cenizas*People can follow you on here? Huh. Learn something new everyday.
I kind of need you for game mechanics stuff, so yeah...I feel sorry for the people following me
they must get like 100 alerts a day about me being dumb in this thread
So now that squall maybe broken Zeldas meta is advancing for once. Wowpeople follow me and idk why
Post this on the Custom Lab, Derk!!Ok so Phantom Strike lv.1 sets up a Squall elevator pretty nicely, the set knock back puts them right by ledge from the spot where you can edge cancel from. Lv.2 also works but the landing is tech-able which can mess up your set up. Lv.2 can be charged almost immediately thanks to the decreased charge time also. Lv.3 is iffy and depends on how the opponent gets back to stage.
I don't think Squall is broken, and it's still unsure if customs will be legal, but if they are Squall might change Zelda's playstyle in a custom environment a lot.So now that squall maybe broken Zeldas meta is advancing for once. Wow
