@ KuroganeHammer KuroganeHammer I have another weird SDI question, I dunno if you'd know the answer to this one though

On 3DS, if I use the Home button to pause buffer SDI I get much worse results than using Hold L in training, or even just manually inputting it at 2/3. I'm guessing it's because it handles the inputs differently when the Home button is involved but I wouldn't know what's different. Any idea?

not scared, but then again most things scare me (no seriously, my sister just laughs at me when I'm playing a game remotely scary). So, I'm sure you could find a situation where I'm scared of one

Falco's blaster, for the first time ever, isn't a very good projectile. He also lacks the mobility to approach well, and doesn't really do much that's remarkable to compensate either of these things. Damage per hit is good though, and he has decent combos...apparently. I still haven't seen it applied in high-level matches, so I'm not a believer yet.
Here's the issue with high-level Falco play: Keitaro feels like he's playing Brawl Falco which inevitably leads to not using Fair off-stage, Side Smash mistimes since Side Smash is slower in SSB4, and Blaster "over-usage". At least he does Falco's U-throw > Uair combo, but that's not enough. I don't see him using Ftilt a lot for spacing, Dtilt for punishing, set-ups, and kills, Utilt to start a combo, and Down Smash to punish rolls and as an OOS option. I don't know if he played as Wolf in Brawl, but Falco can RAR Bair like Wolf and Ike. Hell, Falco could RAR Bair since Melee?, but since wavedashing was an option along with Blaster's minimal end lag, Falco didn't need to. I think Chillin might be able to transfer Brawl Wolf's gameplay to SSB4 Falco well while Keitaro basically has to fight against muscle memory.

Now, let's move on to GimR and Larry Lurr. They don't main him. Actually, I don't think anyone mains Falco that is well-known. GimR feels like the experimenter who messes around to figure out stuff which leads to hilarity like Mr. Game & Watch's Uair windbox killing and I think he did frame cancel Falco's Dair once. Larry Lurr mains Fox and has a good Falco, but it's obvious who he's better with. I don't know who Pawclaw is - he did post in the videos thread, apparently - or his main: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IsORfYxCSM.

There's also the fact that there are players out there who nobody knows about and are good like JJ who was just some random player MunsterMash met: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlPFGYhLcEg&list=UU1w-3SkAJRJSFoK-MWsqEJQ. This was way back in December.

Or whoever this Japanese Falco player is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHqvF6j1dmY and I just found out about Cyro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQkWi6kmoSY.

If you want more, check out this thread: http://smashboards.com/threads/good-falco-videos.376351/. Or the combo/approach thread: http://smashboards.com/threads/falco-approaches-and-combos-strings.372417/.

Taking away Falco's ability to zone with Blaster essentially turns Falco into a skinnier, shorter, weaker, slightly faster, and a pheasant version of Ganondorf. I wouldn't be surprised if both of them have unfavorable matchups across the board and win purely from skill and punishes while Marth will have favorable and unfavorable matchups because he's mobile in the air and the ground, his range is good, and tippers, man. Even without his ability to SHDF, Marth remains a threat. Then there's Kirby who I don't really know well. I guess he could be a decent off-stage gimper.

Different players have different styles and some of them might never use a certain move and opt out for something else. It's like Rosalina players who choose to play with Luma by their side more and those who choose to have Luma as a puppet and obstacle. There are Falcos who don't use Ftilt ever, there are Captain Falcons who don't use Dtilt or Ftilt ever, and there are Foxes who prefer Dair over Fair. Some people would rather make hits count and not combo a lot while others prefer constant pressure on their opponents.

So, this leads an issue where one player's style puts them at risk a lot and however skilled they might be, the constant loses and hits taken might make people feel like either the character is bad or the player is bad. On the other hand, someone might prefer a more defensive route and while it may be boring, it's effective. Case in point: Dabuz's Rosalina which caused some uproar on his play style.

Nope.

Spider fear is overrated.
Can we talk about overrated and overexaggerated fear of wasps, bees, flies, and even moths, too?? I always remember being on the school bus, and it was practically hysteria every time something remotely insectile would appear. I'd just shake my head each time.

Oh I'm a complete sissy when it comes to scary games. I can't play them alone, I have to drag a friend with me either offline or on skype and stream it. Pretty much "I need you to watch me because I'll die if I do this alone" kind of wimp. :'D

I actually hate bees. When I lived in Sweden, they'd always be chasing after my flowery scented perfumes -_-

Moths are adorable.

I used to like bees, but I've been stung a few dozen too many times and now I can't help but be nervous and fidgety around them.

To be fair those close-up pictures of spiders are pretty impressive by themselves. Such pretty eyes!

What I'm mostly super grossed out by (although not scared of) are cockroaches. Things are from hell.

@ KuroganeHammer KuroganeHammer are there lots of roaches in Oz?

For future reference: Never post images of fish; I have a phobia of fish. If you do, please spoiler them. Cartoon fish are fine like Nemo or the citizens of Bikini Bottom. Real fish and fish drawn to be real-like or sea creatures freak me out.

I love jumping spiders; they look and act so different from others, and I'll always rescue them from my house. People call me crazy, but they're so dang cute.

And I do apologize, but I can't help but find that imagery kind of amusing. Did you ever get stung by them?

They are, I always try to catch them and release them outside so my cats don't get them instead.

That's understandable. I've never been stung other than by stepping on a few, and I'm not allergic to them either, so I guess I can't really judge on bee fears. It's when you get the people who try to warn every living soul within a ten-mile radius that there's a bee (or other insect) near them that I get a bit exasperated.

The perfume loving bees never stung me, though it's all about staying very still and not making sudden movements if they happen to -shiver- land on you. No, my first bee sting was because my lil toe brushed over one that was, for some reason beyond me, on the ground, near me - and I couldn't see it cause I was distracted on the computer. The moment I felt that fuzzy little thing on my foot, pain instantly followed.

On the bright side for Zelda, this appears to only be possible on the fattest characters. So... It shouldn't work on Zelda. :D
