Welp... I'm back. Thing bugging me today: can't find the old video of a jazz cover of Don't say "lazy". Pretty sure the old video had a link or something and artwork of the band members in jazzy clothing. Much better than random pictures of cats and dogs in my opinion. Seattle was fun... Lot of eating and traveling with family members. Some problems not being able to speak or completely understand Cantonese. Missed E3 which isn't as important as family, but I would have liked to have some time to catch up on things. The most I got was some footage of TLoZ: Breath of the Wild which I said yesterday I wasn't hyped about. For me there are games that look amazing when presented or watched and there are ones that don't. I feel like Breath of the Wild is the latter where it really doesn't look interesting to watch, but can be addictive and/or engrossing to play. Sure, presentations show what's up and give you info, but they lack the visceral drive you would get when playing. Games that come to mind that are like that are Assassin's Creed, Dragon's Dogma, Final Fantasy XV, Saints Row, Skyrim, and sometimes the Bloodborne and Demon's/Dark Souls games. Most of them are open-world... Open-world games are about you experiencing and exploring the world... If you don't do that and instead watch it happening, it's kind of not fun. On the flipside, Skyward Sword looked good to me when presented. Not as spectacular as Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, Max Payne, Overwatch, Star Fox, or pretty much any fighting game, but the game just looks good to watch and play.
Outside of TLoZ, I only remember following Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and then some trailers... Starting with KH, I really, really want to play 0.2-A fragmentary passage or whatever it's called. Rundown is Aqua is my new love. Holy crap she looks amazing when fighting. If KH3 allows you to play as the other Keyblade wielders, then Sora can start warming the bench... Never liked Sora throughout the entire series. Not his look, fighting style, and eh... he's an all right character, but I always thought Riku was cooler and more interesting. There's also Roxas, Terra, and my newly-discovered favorite, Aqua. Funny, I started out not liking Aqua and it's probably because I thought she'd be the mage and I'm not really fond of pure magic characters. Nooooope. She basically becomes Ms. Badass to Terra's glass cannon dark knight instead of this tank knight and Ventus's... something. She does start out as a mage, though... Subverting stuff, I guess. The other part is that Aqua is really, really tragic. Even compared to split into who knows how many parts Terra, Aqua suffers through a lot. It makes you sympathize with her and feel like you really want to help her in any way you can even though there's sinking feeling that you can't until much later.
The one that caught my eye was Death Stranding. At this point, I should probably expect that any music Kojima puts into a trailer will end up being loved by me; he introduced me to Starsailor, kind of Garbage, New Order / Joy Division, Mike Oldfield, and now, Low Roar. What made it stand out so much was that it showed so little compared to other games. Even as a teaser, it showed so little. You have no idea what the hell is going on; it's just pure Kojima madness and that's what makes it so interesting. You want to know more and you start from almost nothing. Most trailers and teasers give you some idea which is fine. There's nothing wrong with that, but at times, when so many games are being shown, you want something to not tell you what it's all about.
Dontnod's Vampyr and Insomniac Games Spider-Man caught my eye too. For Dontnod, whoa... Dark and twisted... Insomniac Games is, well, Insomniac Games. I love their work. Getting a feeling that they're taking what they learned from Sunset Overdrive to make a Spider-Man game. The new God of War is a bit weird... I don't know what to say about it, but that it's both neat and strange. Neat seeing a drastic shift in gameplay and sort of heartwarming seeing Kratos be able to live as a father even if it's not ideal compared to his "past life" as a father, but strange because of the shift in gameplay. And then there's Agents of Mayhem... Basically, Saints Row IV, but with set characters and a heavier focus on superhero powers... Maybe Saints Row IV should have been a different game... Or get a "cartoon" treatment where past games don't really tie into each other, so they can do whatever the hell they want without dealing with the fact there is a plot and they royally screwed themselves over with SRIV's story.
For the other highlights: watched a trailer for Bound and it looks absolutely beautiful. That's all I can say. Maybe I'll play it someday just for the pure beauty of it. There's also ABZU... problem is that it's underwater and I'm phobic of fish, so... yeah. Berserk getting a Warriors treatment is cool... Fist of the North Star had it, Gundam, One Piece, and Zelda... At this rate, a ton of famous anime and games are going to be Warriors-ed. The weird thing is I never got the impression Guts would be slaughtering hundreds of people regularly. Granted, I never read Berserk, but I get the feeling a Demon's/Dark Souls style would have worked better. Oh, and Skyrim remaster that allows PCs a 64-bit version so less memory problems or whatever.
I end it with that so far, it's been a bit underwhelming. The recent games that come to mind that I really want to play or am really hyped up are Aqua's section of KH 2.8, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, sort of Overwatch, and after watching more of it, Street Fighter V. Everything else gets lumped into, "I'll probably play it, I'll probably like it, but I wasn't hyped for it." -- Smash 4 was this for me. FFXV kind of died when party switching was removed and Stella was scrapped, Breath of the Wild as I said, suffers from doesn't look good to watch, but is awesome to play, and Death Stranding... What the hell am I going to expect? Oh yeah, let's want to play a concept... That and it's too far off like I'm hyped about Kingdom Hearts 3, but that comes out when? TBD.

There probably is, but idk know how to do it. The tool I use has you select a color, then it finds that color and makes it transparent. The envelope is the same tone of white as the background so that's why it messes up.

What I did was
1. Turn the envelope black
2. Use the transparency tool again, but since the envelope was black it didn't affect it this time
3. Go back and make the envelope white again

...Anyway. Did my usual rounds today, but I had something pretty funny happen. I ran into this dog which managed to get out from its owner's back garden, it saw me and decided to run off to the house next door that I deliver to. As I was walking down their front garden, the dog came back with a stick; lied on the floor in front of me, wanting to play fetch. So I complied, threw the stick; and it managed to find it, 2nd time, it gave up and followed me down to the next house I deliver to. So I had to take them back to their owner. She did thank me for managing to retrive her dog, and even thanked me for playing fetch with it. :V
Damn dog.
Also, I'll be checking the finale of My Hero Academia, and gonna watch the KonoSuba OVA later today as well.

Its just newspapers. Since I got roped into this about 3 - 4 years ago because my Mother wanted to do this to thank the Manager of the Newsagents in my hometown for helping my sister and taking care of her when she worked there.
