On the 1 main vs using mains and secondaries argument...
1 main may be good AT FIRST, but then you run into problems later. For top players, they pretty much know everything about their character that is known right now, so they don't have much improvement for that character. You also have the problem of being predictable. If you only have 1 playstyle with 1 character, people are going to get used to that after a while no matter how good of a player you are.
Meanwhile with secondaries, you can surprise someone by using a character they didn't expect you to use. Also if you're already proficient with 1 character and there isn't much else to learn until a new combo or tech is found or patches change the entire character, why not learn another character? If ou main a rushdown character, you know what is and isn't effective against them. But secondary a campy character, then you can learn what is and isn't effective against that character, maybe find out how to exploit a flaw in your main with your secondary in case you find someone who mains the same character for you, it's just better overall imo

One of the better players in my region (he'd be top 10 if he didn't have the same tournament attendance as I do at the moment) is a Dorf/Dedede so this does not really surprise me that much

I think my absolutely favorite thing about Asgore is that, despite all the buildup he had, he's more or less a male Toriel with a bit more comedy relief.
It really hammers home all the terrible things that he did/ had happen to him imo

IMO, Toriel was more driven but still went for the most peaceful solution; her disdain for Muscly Goat Man King has merit. If the roles were reversed, I'd imagine many things would be different and also better for the monsters. Asgore is totes adorbs tho. I'm sad there's not too much game content or many comics/dubs featuring him. Well... There's a few.

Also, I ship Toats McGoats too. Even if they apparently make very dirty videos and leave them where their children can find them.

Keep in mind I am a dessert. This is basically... So... Sooo... D-disgusting... But I suppose beautiful as well.

I kept telling myself I should go out and play in a tournament at some point, but I've been feeling less and less motivated toward it lately. I still identify bad habits that I never break and I autopilot so hard when I play the game, I feel like I deserve to lose against anyone that knows how to play the game and just get away with wins against people that don't know matchups and don't know how to adapt (supporting evidence: I still have my highest win rate with Dedede, king of abusing WiFi and an absence of matchup knowledge).

I guess basically I'm self-defeating because I already know what things I do wrong so I don't feel like I'll learn anything and I've still yet to break bad habits I've identified which seems like a thing I should do before I try playing in anything seriously so...
