Ryu seems like a bottom tier character since I've never lost to one ever. They know they have no chance of winning and just kill themselves to save me time.

I found out later he's a consistent top finisher so I'm guessing my BANZELDA tag was a little extra salt in the wound being Loser's brackets.

Why does Smash make people so salty? I know all games have people rage occasionally, but smash bros has SO MUCH and it's SO CONSISTENT. There's the quiet one who you can tell is mad inside, then the ones who rip out their controllers and maybe even shout. Although it helped he was a super nice/kind guy, I still had mad respect for the luigi that 4 stocked me. He was way above the average player. I was even making comments like "mercy please" and "I'm gonna have to inform the authorities about what happened here" to keep the mood light.

I get irritated with things like true KO combos IE luigi downthrow to the spin of death, but I could never imagine shouting and ripping my controller out to the point of dragging the console off the table and whipping some poor kids ankle with the end of the wire. Damn smash. You dangerous af.

Maybe because of how competitive the scene can get, it just makes people want to win even more. It's really not to different to really life sports when you think about it. When I rage quit, I can flip out, but that's because I'm at home and have now to judge me. and it's more for games like LOZ and stuff. With Smash, I more just still the gobsmasck about what just happened and then I just get disappointed in me. not that I would flip out or anything, but I can help but feel like i failed.Though that is against cpus and it is easily to feel salty versing them.

It's Vaporeon's bratty teen years, before it grew up and became a respectable young adult..

If I did find a legitimate leaked screenshot I'd definitely post it on this site for some moments of glory.

If Wolf does make it back, I should try to replicate that screenshot in Smash 4 just for fun.

Speaking of leaks, before brawl came out someone actually leaked Wolf (and a bunch of other information) on gamefaqs but almost no one believed him since everyone thought Krystal would be in instead of him.

In other words, he was basically "the boy who cried Wolf".

I only get salty when I'm not playing to the best of my ability. If this is because of lag I try to shrug it off as 'lol wifi' and not take the games seriously. The other reason is because I'm stressed. There are some days I just have to accept I'll play terrible.

i thought it was going to be trashT, but i didn't really care since i was really only buying the new 3ds bundle for the regular new 3ds system.

but like, it's adorable AND it's super addicting.

i just built the school and i think it turned out really well. also, my system even came with an amiibo card, so i have tortimer.

Gay Ginger didn't you say you were interested in this game? if you are, it's definitely worth the money. it's a ton of fun and i highly recommend it

I'll try to pick it up soon and give it a go. It's one of my most anticipated games this year.

The problem is: I have to find time to play it. Right now, between work and preparing my application to grad school, I don't have a lot of time for video games, so I haven't been buying them.The good news, though, is that I'm almost done with the application. I just have to finish writing the personal essay, and then I can submit it! I think I'll buy the game as a treat for myself to celebrate finishing the application, haha.

Y'know, I really wish I could look into that supposed "no tech" thing myself because I've been skeptical about that video since I first saw it. This part throws their credibility into question for me, I swear I've seen Ganon's dair teched before and that Falco dair hitbox wasn't even a spiking hit.

Very late reply, but I think they were saying Ganondorf and Falco's Dairs are special cases, but they - assuming it's a group of guys researching this - only made a hand wave without explaining why exactly those aren't "techable". Word for word, the guy said, "except for a few special cases, but that's a different story." True, but it's not so goddamned complex that he couldn't have just said that maybe Ganondorf's Dair hits too hard, so it's too fast to tech or that Falco's Dair has a different hitbox for grounded opponents which with Samus and Captain Falcon's Uair, Falco's Falco Phantasm, and a couple of other moves, he could have just easily demonstrated that in like a 10-20 seconds with like 3 seconds to mention their guess that Ganondorf's Dair is techable, but it hits too hard to tech on the ground or whatever.

Anyway, messing around with stuff, I think Captain Falcon's ground Raptor Boost can be used for edgeguarding against recoveries that don't ledge snap well or if you somehow go above the ledge since Raptor Boost hits below and above Captain Falcon. That pretty much means he can cover slightly below the ledge and slightly above him. The only issue is that it's not reliable since he needs to have the hitbox to come out and not just fall over when Raptor Boost doesn't find any targets near him. The funny thing is that unlike say, Little Mac Down Smashing and hitting you where it's almost instant, Captain Falcon's Raptor Boost has him wind up, so you get to watch your telegraphed death. Also, Fox's jump-cancelled Up Smash and pivot Side Smash are stupid. Luigi's jump-cancelled Up Smash is even stupider. Yay, 1/4 speed on training mode!

Sis, onstage Din's gliding has been basically patched out.
Sakurai actually removed it not because it caused SDs but because Zelda gliding offstage was too much sass for opponents to handle.

If we know there's an update coming in 2 days it's highly likely that it is a patch. The first thing people need to do is see if replays are broke.
