Not that you did, but people do this in real discussions. You know Seagull Joe? Basically every time he tries to argue against customs, people automatically dismiss him because he complains about them (especially when he loses). But you know what? He has good points anyway and they need to be considered.

Oh I do, don't worry :4villager:
Yes. I know he despises customs; he was on this very thread the last time when people were complaining about him on the CCI thread before it was locked. I know where he's coming from that point of view.
He still uses them though, probably because his character benefits from them.

Yup, I actually wrote a scientific-ish report on the Froakie line for a just-for-fun Pokédex project in TV Tropes and so I had to talk about those. Good thing I watch the anime =P

Your story in a comic made after X/Y got announced:

I was Team Froakie all the way because after Oshawott I was sure Froakie would get a cool last evolution
I am never judging a starter by its appearance ever again...

Quilladin and Chesnaught make me cry ;_________;
Yeah... Chespin's so adorable and then Quilladin... At least Chesnaught looks the part of an armored knight instead of a hedgehog, armadillo, chestnut thing. Look! It's stealing food! :p

I always find the middle stage of Pokémon that evolve twice to look so awkward.

There are some exceptions to this though, I like Bayleef and Quilava more than their final evolution =V

Grovyle, Charmeleon, and Ivysaur - it's just a larger Bulbasaur... - look not-awkward. Then again, if we consider the middle stage to be their equivalent to their puberty and teenager years, yeah, awkward makes sense. Then we have Pikachu who looks fine while Raichu looks really weird. :p

IMO the 3rd and 4th gen starters were both super solid

1st gen is pretty cool
2nd gen is nice except Meganium is meh (also no secondary types really?)
5th gen was ok, except for the fact that the only dual type was the overused Fire/Fighting (like seriously what were they thinking, could have made Samurott Rock or Fighting as well). Plus the fact that two starters lost hands? like uh evolution????
6th gen is kind of meh.

B-but Dewoot looks amazing compared to Samurott!

I mean Samurott loss the ability to go on his hind legs for some reason while Dewott just looks edgy af

I dunno, I just really like Samurott because it has a samurai helmet and a magnificent mustache as well as actual swords.

It was my favorite starter before Greninja. It's the only Pokémon from B/W2 that I made sure to transfer to my X cartridge too.

Dewott just looks like that awkward transition phase. You can see some of Samurott in Dewott and it looks a bit off.

I see it as going from a kid to their "puberty" look, then finally to their adult look. I don't say teen because those things are so ugly why not blame it on Poké Puberty.
Oh jeez Peach has an infinite

I'm really wondering why they added the Miiverse stage.
We all know it doesn't work online. But I had friends over today and the stage isn't playable when there's 4 human players. 2 human players and 2 amiibos work fine, but you can't play in it if there's 4 real people trying to play it locally. Why even add it if you can rarely ever play on it? I'm also pretty sure that it doesn't appear in any of the single player modes either. (Classic, All Star, Master and Crazy Orders, etc.) Are they planning to update it so it can work in more situations?

I'm surprised they even had the idea of a Miiverse stage. Surely they knew that it would be abused by users...

At least we can be entertained by some of the posts.

Hm... What were the settings? Ours were 5 stocks, no items, no time limit.
(Also yay for reviving the social!)

So now that smash 4 evo is over is there going to be a change on customs I personally want them gone. Even though I like the shield break phantom but I can only seem to catch people with it once :(

dude Villager can jab sheilds do death

You rang? :4villager:

Villager really should be in your face very often imo he lacks a really good way to deal with large pokes because of his poor range.
Instead he should really bring pressure with slingshots until he can drop a bait like Lloyd into a punish or something
I essentially agree with you but my Villager's pressure game isn't where I want it to be yet so I posted what works for me :V

1: Blastoise is my favorite, Charizard my least favorite. But they're all good. Blastoise's design is kind of strange in retrospect tbh

2: I love Typhlosion. In the long run these three are some of the blandest starters with their stats being rearrangements of their first gen counterparts (or exact matches for Typhlosion).

3: No particular favorites here but I guess I'm slightly partial to Swampert. Sceptile is my least favorite but he's still cool.

4: Turtwig's line is great and Empoleon's is neat (Water/Steel <3). Don't like Infernape because of his popularity and how he overshadowed Blaziken (but then Speed Boost happened).

5: Funny story, I actually had plans for Grass snake and Fire pig starters of my own (though with Poison and Steel as the secondary things respectively). I'm fond of Serperior and Emboar for that reason (but the Fighting typing on Emboar is a letdown and Serperior is kind of crap). Samurott is a good concept but they dropped the ball with its execution IMO.

6: the Water counterpart to my starters previously mentioned was a frog but I'm not necessarily a fan of Greninja. I picked Chesnaught because he's neat.

Until gen 6 the patterns for the starters was as follows: reptilian Grass, bipedal final Fire, amphibious Water. Gen 6 kept all of them except reptilian Grass.
