How short are you/what's your pants length? I'm short as well and have sightly shorter legs than average too. I keep my keys and phone in opposite front pockets and my wallet in a back one. However, I usually wear jeans, not shorts.

This is honestly the best way to live life. And I have one free pocket for Kleenex in allergy season. I've never run out of pockets unless I'm wearing compression shorts while running.

I can do it in any other season since I have a jacket to put my keys in. I'm 5'6, waist size 30. I never put anything in my back pockets since I'm sitting down most of the time. I don't really wear jeans in this hot weather and denim shorts is a terrible idea.
