It said in the Famitsu article that they're a "solo unit". Not sure if that means they're playable or not, though (since I didn't play the first game). I heard the first game wasn't that great though, so if theirs is a fairly minor part I'll probably give it a miss.

Yeah, it wasn't that great. I feel like it was only worth one playthrough, since it can get repetitive real quick.
And some of the characters were Out of Character.
e.g. Frank West was a pervert and would always try and take pictures of characters like Hsien-Ko and KOS-MOS.

The only character they kept in Character was surprisingly Dante.

I believe Solo Unit means they're an Assist Character.

My LAN Adapter came through the post today and some filters for the Router and the Phone. Haven't even bothered hooking up my Wii U to the Router yet. I'll leave that for maybe tomorrow.
