Brawl Ivysaur is dumb though

Brawl Ivysaur is super bad I don't even. Just like Zelda, his best move is Down B.

I would consider Brawl Ivysaur to be the worst character in the game, but Ganondorf tried too hard for that title.

Haven't had much time with PM Ivysaur but Solarbeam looks cool.

Ideal Brawl Ivy usage was:
"GO, IVYSAUR!"
"GET BACK! GO CHARIZARD!"
That tether up B made me cry each time. Didn't help that Ivysaur took more 10% knockback from fire damage...which just so happened to be the most common elemental effect in the game.

The only Pokemon I really can't play at all is Lucario. Every time I try him, I just get really bored.

Can confirm Brawl Ganon is Trash tier. Ivysaur to me was bad but not the worst in Brawl.

I guess I should be both glad and disappointed that I have such a hard time landing aerial force palm because everytime I do it's like:

And then I continually keep missing again and remember that I should probably just stick to U-Tilt and D-Smash spamming

Actually, I went to a local PM tounrey (My first tourey evr!) and I got top 8 of 44 even though I hadn't played the game in like, a year.

It actually annoyed me a little, because it was crazy fun, and I bet I could do great picking up P:M again, but I still don't like the PM community for the most part.

The word "Change" literally spoils anyone who talks there. People don't get anywhere because of either "We could change that" or "It might get changed..."

Also, everyone outside a select number hates Zelda, or hated her in 3.02, but NONE of the changes in 3.5/6 addressed ANY of the complaints people had. (Aside MAYBE Din's Fire's change, but that's just a different annoying now lol.)

Oddly enough some people came around preaching that Zelda had been 'fixed' and was great now.

No.

She was nerfed. nerfed nerfed nerfed. The only improvements she got were SSB4 patch levels of ineffective. But in return they stomped her. Even with everyone getting nerfed in that patch, Zelda was very probably the worst off after...

Also, the whole community has no value of just sitting back and socializing or relaxing sometimes, the PM Zelda social practically only talks about Zelda in competitive function, like, there really isn't any social talk. If I did re-pick up P:M, I'd probably stay clear of their boards especially as a solo Zelda main.

I personally never went to a P:M tourney. The game is really unpopular where I'm at.

PM is okay. I did a few friendlies with people who were participating at a tourney at an anime convention and I surprisingly did very well against them. Will never play it competitively though; not my type of game, and it's mostly dead in my region.

IMO Brawl > Sm4sh > PM > Melee

Haven't played 64 so can't judge.

P:M scene and Melee scene are definitely still active in my region. Smash 4 takes priority though.

I don't play PM because there isn't a single character I like to use.

Which is funny because it tries to be like Melee and I liked using 1/3 of the cast in that game.

Also I agree (and experienced) with everything BJN said above me about the Zelda nerfs.

IMO Brawl Ivy if alone, was the worst character. She was the Little Mac of Brawl with the worst recovery in the game. Ganon was bad but he could really go on a rampage with a hard read, even more so than SSB4 Ganon.

I never got into P:M.

I'd probably say the same, if Brawl didn't have random tripping (and that can be taken out easily), and more than one character I liked playing (need my flip jump spikes). It does have the best though, so that's a big point in its favour for me. I'd probably put 64 at the bottom, since it didn't have any characters I really like playing, except maybe .

I like how people in Shulk match ups are like, "Duuude. Don't go on buster, you'll take more damage. Jump is alright though" even if jump is waaay more fragile. I mean, yeah. The mobility can help you avoid getting hit but regardless, you have to be really careful about your defense debuff

I've resigned to playing an incomplete character. Who do you think is better off? Frame data don't mean squat when half of your game plan is barely functional. Imagine if Ryu didn't have his Hadouken. He'd be functional, but his game plan would take a nosedive.

I think a lot of people undermine Meta Knight now in Sm4sh but forget about the speed at which his attacks come out which is among the fastest, making him only a lot less predictable.

I don't say completely unpredictable though because I feel like he has some really awful follow up potential now to compensate but he isn't as bad as people are making him out to be...
