I decided to just move this to a website to save space and so I wont have to constantly be updating this. Here's the link: https://sites.google.com/site/teamdodecaproductions/projects/the-legend-of-zelda-rising-moon

If you want to contribute to this project, go to the home page and look for an opening, a job to do that I cant do myself, or someone hasn't already taken.

I'll be using my own style for this game based on the "Touhou" style which is basically 2D, but with lots of eye candy effects. Most things will be "pixely" like regular zelda games (2D) but things like attack effects, getting hit, magic attacks, and so on will be fancy looking like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWQfkbOYNCM
[Note; youtube lessens the quality and a few frames in this sprite's animation]

Well hot damn. That's a lot.

I've personally tried to draft countless Zelda game concepts and such, so I'll give you my advice. Unless you have an engine capable of creating a good game or are currently working on an engine yourself, I'd advise not getting so caught up in the controls and weaponry. Work on concepts and story first. With time, the proper items will spawn from them.

All in all, I get a sense of unity in your project and that's good. I totally dig the drawings as well. Do some more! At least the shields.

I'll be keeping an eye on your progress and if anything comes to mind, I'll certainly share it with you. Now on a closing note, I'd like to ask: what is the setting? What time period does it take place in, and where? What drives the Fierce Deity?

The Fierce Deity would be the first "Link" or "Triforce of courage Hero". Eventaully he gets the triforce of wisdom, and gets more and more power. In Twilight princess it says somewhere that a hero can get corrupt with power which is what happens in this game pretty much, but at the same time the main character wants to do a good thing which involves stopping the will of the gods of the triforce to save Termina.

So; the gods become the bad guys, (or you become the bad guy but because of your own vision of "peace) and Majora was created by the gods to destroy the people who oppose them (Termina people).
The final boss would be the three gods, and the mini boss before them would be Majora.
If this were to become a game, it would be the hardest of all games, but you also have much more power in this game, as well as the enemies.

Fierce Deity starts as human then becomes a "God" later on after obtaining so much power.

Oh man, Spire. Remember when we made that huge design document for that Zelda game? That was pretty ballin'.

I'm liking all the stuff here, Artmgjr! I hope your game goes farther than me and Spire's did.

I was going to offer assistance to programming this game, but it looks like this is an ambition for a 3d game. Oh well.

Making a 2D test version first (to have better ideas of that the final 3D version can be like) would be better to learn from with things like enemy attacks/behavior, map ideas, items, etc.
Edit~
Oh and most importantly, textures.

Spire, get your own thread for your designs. Honestly, it looks awesome, but it's semi-hijacking this thread. I would appreciate it if you editted it out, so we can have focus on the original idea.

I posted that because it was similar in concept. I thought he could use it for inspiration. Jeez, fine. Editing it out.

Any progress updates, Artmgjr?
I havent done much work, but so far i have some music done and a few attack effects.
I'll put a few official pictures of the attack effects and shield effects and even some pictures of what the game itself might look like on deviant art next week hopefully =D/
Just have been busy with machinima stuff, homework, music making, and so on/
