Yes, it is required to play the game.

I've heard the motion plus attachment is less accurate than the motion plus built into the wii remote. So up to you if you want to buy a Wii remote plus or the attachment.

my experience with my own wii motion + vs ea's motion + attachment I thought the accessory was more accurate.

Yeah it probably just depends on wear & tear tbh. My WMP addon was pretty much brand new pre-SS.

I just bought a third party plus remote. Apparently they are ceasing selling the attachment. That's 4 useless wii motes for me. Good stuff.

Oh wow man, rule of thumb is never buy 3rd party controllers.

I would follow that but I haven't played me wii in like a year and if not for Zelda I'd prob not play it at all lol, so paying 70 bucks for a new wii mote didn't feel justified.

Fair enough I guess. You can find Wii remote plus's $60 brand new, maybe as low as $50.

gotta agree with ric for once here, personally i would go for a 2nd-hand addon before a 3rd party remote plus. but yeah, addons are out of production.

So far SS is really good. I love the effort to develop the characters, for once I actually give a damn about Zelda lol.
