Yeah, it can be good and it can give up new opportunities for people to come together with common interests.

The YouTube community is half worth it. YouTube has a fairly large number of good videos, but...I think it's better to avoid looking at the comments. 9 times out of 10, I look at the comments and I spend another half an hour yelling at various idiots. >.>

I don't think YouTube is good for my mental health.

Well, in the category of MySpace/Facebook/all social networking sites, it really depends whether it's good for your mental health or not. For MySpace and Facebook, if you only friend your friends (I know, what a concept, mirite?) or at least your acquaintances (in real life), then it shouldn't be bad for your mental health.

Unless your friends are bad for your mental health.

but there are 2 things I hate most:

By the way, I have since been attacked by PC fanboys on a trailer for the PC version of Mirror's Edge. God, I thought console fanboys were bad. They're ridiculous. By even defending consoles as being EQUAL and saying "To each his own" I'm apparently calling consoles "better" and that to do so is outrageous. Don't think of it that way. The internet is the ultimate engine of the freedom of speech. You and I can really say whatever we want (within reason). But so can the fools. The cool thing is, though, that intelligent people will always get more attention and be more respected than the stupid ones. Youtube is 4chan with a whole crapload of video's.

I used to visit 4chan a lot, and trust me when I say that even /b/tards, /v/irgins, we/a/boo's, etc. are a lot more intelligent than most of what you will find on 4chan.

The only thing that connects 4chan and Youtube are the memes (rick roll, over 9000, and pretty much everything else not funny after being spammed a million times).

Youtube = 15 year old idiots.
4chan = 20 year old trolls/idiots.
