What if George Washington became a dictator instead of turning down the idea of being one post-American Revolution?

What if the British didn't **** up the division of the Middle East after WWI?

What if Trotsky took power instead of Stalin in the USSR when Lenin died?

What if Truman let General MacArthur launch nukes into China during the Korean War instead of standing up to him and not letting him?

What if Reagan actually died during his attempted assassination?

And the biggest one of them all...

What if the Library of Alexandria didn't burn down?

It's interesting to think about what would've happened if it didn't burn. We would be so much more advanced than we are now, but possibly in a different way? Maybe some technologies we take for granted now wouldn't exist, but would be instead be replaced by things that we wouldn't even conceive of today.

If America had never been founded, Germany would've easily won WWII. The only reason why they lost was because we ended up becoming a super power and came up with the nuclear bomb, which downed the morale of the other sides. Also, France would've never been freed since we would have never had D-day. England... they would have just been destroyed really...


I wonder how this would affect Hispanics though... no America = no borders = no job opportunities. Meh, they probably would've been blasted apart by Germany as well eventually...

What about Russia? Their effort was 4 times the scale of the whole Western front. They invaded Berlin and ended the war with Germany 3 months before the nukes were dropped on Japan. And the United Kingdom and the British Empire would continue to fight, even if Britain was invaded there would have been fierce resistance from the people. Once Russia inevitably stormed Berlin they, and the British and now free European countries, would all turn the rest of their attention to Japan. The war would be longer and the UK would be worse off but Russia and the Allies would still win.
