Essentially the music you listen to get hype either before or during a tournament match. I'm working on making one, so yea. <3

I just listen to what I always listen to. Usually the more mellow stuff, even. I try to be relaxed before a big tourney match, not hyped up and eager. That's just me, though.

Oh and I also have some Oizo / Justice stuff on my iPod and depending on how I'm feeling I'm switch between them and other artists and put a song on repeat.

If I'm trying to be real technical in firendlies than it's definitely a hype song or some alt. rock like a mix or Genesis. On the other hand, I can listen to some slow music.

I agree with underload.

I'd probably hit up some MONO or Nujabes before a tense match.

Off topic but, I like Recovery. If Eminem kept making MMLPs no one would take him seriously, he had to grow up at one point or another. At least that is most people's mentallities.

I have to be honest, Recovery was **** to me. MMLP and SSLP are both classics in my eyes, I wish he went back to that stuff. I mean some stuff on MMLP is strange as ****. but otherwise its great.

Recovery didn't have any stand out lyrical craziness or any truly heartfelt emotion. I didn't feel he put as much emotion as he used to.

And also I like to listen to Waitin' for the DJ by Talib Kweli for working out.

He has a lot of misplaced anger, and it's honestly old as f***. Nobody wanna hear a grown *** man talkin bout his problems. His lyrics are more technical, but they all lack that fire imo. I think we all loved MMLP and SSLP because he was young and angry and we could identify with it, and the controversial **** was relevant. All this stuff now is less so. I usually only enjoy Em on features when he can take a theme from someone and run with it (Forever, Airplanes Pt. 2, Despicable).

I had a discussion with my friend recently and we chalked it up to the fact that he's older now, so he needs to do something new. Listening to him say "shake that *** like a Donkey with Parkinson's" is so incredibly irrelevant.

edit - My hype playlist right now

Kanye West - Power
Drake - Show Me A Good Time
Drake - Up All Night
